Restaurant is clean. It had good seating. Boths have plenty of room and you can move the table for extra room if need. Food is really good. They have standard low grade sushi and sashimi. No sea urchin roe or gizzard shad. No super special items but the food they do have rarely disappoints. The rolls are pretty standard and good. Some items on menu are good. One off the menu item is a boat. We go the $50 boar one night and tried the $100 boat another night. Both were standard cuts with low grade sashimi. Then there was last night. Service from a guy with blue hair is not professional. Send this guy for a hair cut and color that hair back to original color. He was a good waiter he just looked unclean. We got the $50 boat. Chef threw it together. It looked bad. The sashimi looked bad and old. The shrimp were not fresh gulf shrimp and they were so over cooked they were tough. This place would do way more business if they tried sending their chef to school to learn how and what to fix. Buy better cuts, stop over cooking, season correctly, use real wasabi, use real pickled ginger with no fake sugar in it. Try harder to be the best. My experience last night was your restaurant was aweful and you did not put enough food on the boat. I could have bought your combo and got the same thing. Utilize mackerel and salmon roe, surf clam, put urchin roe and gizzard shad on the menu. ...
Read moreI was the very first person in the restaurant at 4:30. I placed my “fried rice” order. I paid for it before I got it because they said this was a new requirement. I might add others came in and we’re not asked to pay for it before they got their order. I was told the order would be ready in about 20 minutes. I felt like that was a reasonable wait. I gave them about 25-30 minutes for a just in case. When I went inside I waited another 20-25 minutes. I waited patiently. After a few more minutes i noticed that several other people had gotten their orders. Dine in and take out alike I inquired why was my order taking so long. I was told they did not know. I usually go there 2-3 times a week and spend anywhere from $30.-$45. Per visit. After this time it will be a very very long time before I visit there again. I will add that the manager was nice and gave a $5.00 gift card for my wait. But as a manager I feel that I should have had a better explanation and maybe he should have been more on top of the situation Especially after he saw me standing waiting for more...
Read moreWhen we walked in, the hostess appeared to be something straight out of hot topic. The remainder of the staff followed suit. We sat down to a menu that was sub par to their online menu with zero descriptive factors of the food to come. We ordered egg rolls to start, filet hibachi x2 with miso soup, and sake to drink. The egg rolls were frozen (admitted to us by the server after they were delivered hot on the outside and cold in the middle). The salad had a delicious dressing, but the miso was watery and it was easy to tell not much miso was used. The hibachi was undercooked and raw in the middle. We both ordered medium rare filets and the steak in the middle was could to the touch. The yum yum sauce (tasted like a mix of yum yum sauce and spicy Mayo) on the table was room temperature and definitely watered down. After hearing of our disappointment, they replaced our app with their version of crab rangoons, which are made in house, and they were actually pretty good! Everything else we sent back and left the restaurant to get dinner elsewhere. Don’t waste...
