Mugshots Grill and Bar - Columbus, MS — Restaurant in Columbus

On Saturday evening 7/20/2019 my family and I decided to try out Mugshots Columbus for the second time. First time being when it first opened which we did not have a good experience then either. Our experience on 7/20 was the worst experience I have had from a restaurant here in Columbus. When we arrived we were seated immediately, as to it was not very busy. It started as soon as we were seated. We sat and waited on someone to take our drink order for at least 10 minutes, finally got that and our appetizer of nachos ordered. My husband ordered a drink from the bar as well in which he waited a while on, the bartender is the one that finally brought it out to him after waiting another 10 minutes. We finally got to order our food. Our app came out which was really good but then everything went downhill from there. We really didn’t see our server the whole time we waited, my husband had to go to the bar to get another drink ordered. After a very long wait the server came out and said our food would be right out that there was a larger party order…. Which when we looked around the only group there was had already eaten, so that we felt like was a lie. My husband had to go next door to get my 3 year old something to eat on at the Dollar General because we had waited so long. Finally the manager comes out with our food….. Gives us some random story about how the kitchen just doesn’t have it all together tonight and he’s so sorry and will take care of things. Ask can he get us anything, I reply some ranch and silverware please, he answers sure thing I’ll be right back. 10 minutes or so goes by still nothing. Finally we get silverware from the bartender, and the server comes around and we ask her for ranch and finally get it. By now our food was cold, I didn’t even eat any of my food, my husband ate maybe 4 of his wings and one of my children didn’t even touch her mac and cheese because it was no good cold. We are really irritated by now and the server finally brings us the check and to my surprise the only thing they took care of was the only thing we had eaten, the appetizer. I honesty have never not wanted to pay for our meals and I felt that it was unfair that I still had to pay $49.07 for such horrible food and experience. We will NEVER come back to...

We went there on our night out without kids. When we arrived we were seated quickly. The hostess took our drink order. Which I thought was odd, but did not care as long as we got our drinks. Drinks came quick, awesome! With the same hostess we put in our appetizer. A second lady came to take our order when we told her we already order she seemed confused, shocked, and upset. We did not see anyone for drinks until a guy gave us our appetizer when at that point we had to ask for the waitress through him. Our first waitress came back with beers. The second lady came back to ask how the first lady was doing, and went on to mention it was a misunderstanding... then also said it was her first table. What??? We felt awkward. We saw the two at another table somewhat fueding. We at this point, felt like they were fueding over our table. The first lady who took our order kept coming by every 2 min to ask if we were ready to order, this went on for 30 min. We werent even done with our appetizer! When we did order (we got it to go because we felt the whole situation was awkward for us). she came back and told us she was leaving, and the second lady would take care of use and she would get the tip. Unprofessional if you ask me. The second lady brought us drinks and our to go food. We paid the bill and told her to keep change and she said you know I do not get to keep this tip it will go to the first girl. We felt obligated to give her a tip as well, which we did! I have never been at a place where I felt so obligated to order nor leave two people tips nor order my food to go!!! When we got home we realized we did not get the sweet potatoe fries we both ordered!!!

Update:: 3/7/2019... we had a wonderful experience with out waiter sparky! What a great addition to the team. He took care of getting our food and drinks out on time. The burgers and food were delish! The beers ice cold! We received out sweet potatoe fries. And no host and waitress fought over our table. And let be known I was offered a free meal from my last review, which I never redeemed! I have no plans on ever doing so. Thank you Mugshots for redeeming yourself. You have my 5 star review...

So I haven't been here since they opened about 2 years ago because I didn't like the sweet bread that came on the burgers. But I decided I'll give them another try. I ordered the cajun pasta, and it was so great. I highly recommend it. I ordered it to go so I got a drink while I waited. My food was ready as soon as I finished my drink, which was a plus. But everything went downhill when I went to sign the little handheld for the bill. The girl who waited on me decided to add a tip to my receipt. I signed cause I was expecting the total to be the same that was on my receipt she had given me. But it wasn't. She had added an 8 dollar tip to my total. I caught it because I looked at the total on my cards app. So I called her back, and she says "oh this happens all the time," like it automatically adds the highest suggested tip all by itself. So that let me know then that she did this on purpose because why didn't she tell me that when she handed me the handheld to sign. I was so upset because she acted like I was stupid or something to believe what she was saying. So she took it off. I did have about 5 dollars that I was gonna tip her, but after that, I was not giving her anything cause she was trying to steal from me. If I ever go back there, I will get a manager or leave if it's her that has to serve me. It's so ridiculous 🙄 I kept my receipt, so I...
