I recently visited and had the pleasure of trying their Prime Rib Sandwich and London Beef & Blue Sandwich. The overall experience was delightful, and I would definitely consider returning.
Prime Rib Sandwich
The Prime Rib Sandwich was exceptional. The meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each bite was a testament to the quality of ingredients used. This sandwich alone is reason enough to visit the shop again.
London Beef & Blue Sandwich
The London Beef & Blue Sandwich was equally impressive, though it had its nuances. The quality of the beef was consistent with the Prime Rib Sandwich was excellent. However, the distribution of blue cheese and onions was a bit lacking. When present, the blue cheese was top-notch, offering a rich and creamy flavor that complemented the beef well.
Pricing One aspect to note is the discrepancy between online and in-person prices. Online, the sandwiches are listed at around $8.50, but in person, they were priced at $11.50. While the quality justifies the higher price, it would be beneficial for the shop to update their online pricing to reflect the current rates accurately.
Conclusion
Despite the minor issues with the London Beef & Blue Sandwich, the quality of the meat and the overall flavor experience make this meat shop a worthwhile visit. With a few adjustments in ingredient distribution and pricing transparency, it could easily earn a five-star rating. I look forward to...
Read moreWell done niche type of place. Super clean and well organized. Pick up frozen individual sized meats or fish or a sandwich to go and maybe a root beer if you have a sweet tooth. Interesting packaged kettle chips and glass jars of sauces or vegetables likes beets or asparagus. But wait....there's a really huge hunk of prime rib for $411 also if you are feeding a lot or want a life time supply or maybe starting a restaurant? I was intrigued by that but not in a way to buy it. I'm into smaller portions. There's an interesting supply of jerky and cheese if you want a grab 'n go that isn't a sandwich. It's a creative store that no one would ever leave empty handed and not say: "Wow...That's a cool place to shop!" Here's a picture of what we bought on our first trip and spent only $50 bucks because we didn't take home that huge prime rib. But wait...I gotta stop talking about that. Let me tell you that the St. Emo's Creamy Horseradish was delicious. It would probably be delicious on that prime rib. I know it was a tasty addition to our homemade burger. Looking forward to using the smoked turkey legs (with collard greens) and the sweet Italian sausage with some pasta. I'll probably put some of that Pineapple Habanero Sauce on the Cod Loin we bought. Stores like this give an upgrade to the challenges of the daily...
Read moreThe male attendant didn’t seem to know how to make the brisket sandwich I have ordered seven times in the past. I always order it “no liquid”, add chipotle, cheddar, and pickles. He said it doesn’t come with cheese, so I said, “you mean it costs extra?” And he said, “well it’s not supposed to come with cheese at all.” So how did “Al Diprima” the reviewer who posted the same day I did, and another past reviewer, Scott Hanner, get theirs with cheddar? The female attendants always make it fine. And I always add chipotle mayo. He didn’t have it. So I politely said I’m fine with the standard sandwich as long as it doesn’t have any sweet BBQ sauce. I can’t have anything sweet or sugary. I asked for spicey mustard. He then promptly put honey mustard on it. Then I asked for clarification. Then he put the sandwich aside and started to make a new one, and said, “you don’t want honey mustard? Because, you asked for it sweet.” I definitely specified that I can’t have anything sweet. So I turned and left. The odd thing was he had an attitude as soon as he finished ringing up the couple before me. It almost seemed as though he had an issue with me. And I was only in the store for maybe three minutes, waiting patiently, before he finished ringing up the prior customer....
