Taco Bell — Restaurant in White Lake Charter Township

Doordasher/delivery driver here. This place is very inconsistent with where they want their drivers picking up the food. One week it is inside, the next it's the drive thru. This led to my clients food sitting their the whole time on the counter inside while I sat through the 15 minute drive thru, just to be told at the window I need to come inside.. when just last week it was drive thru only... so i was literally getting out of my car and walking up to the door just to pull on a locked door then return to my car and enter the drivethru. (middle of day by the way/3-8pm. The lobby isnt supposed to close until 10pm) I asked if this one time they could hand me it through the drive thru window since they were going back and forth and they said no I either come inside or they cancel the order. This led to their customer/my client not getting their order as I was not about to 1: deliver food and drinks that have been sitting there the whole time I was in the drive thru line. and 2: I'm not going to play musical chairs with where they want me to come pick the food up. The order was reassigned/food remade. Some other driver can deal with that mess. I really hope they work on consistency on where they want the doordash drivers and treat them better in the future. There was literally 0 reason they couldn't hand me the order through the window besides wanting to deliberately be difficult with me. You cant treat your drivers like that. It is unfair and rude. That said I hope you guys get it together and I am able to have a smoother experience...

I never write reviews, but a young man working here at around 11PM on Friday, Dec 8 literally threw my food bag at me after I asked if he could please fill my freeze drink all the way (it had a very large empty space.) I had to ask several times for my full change after that, he didn't even know how much money I gave him. He hardly spoke to me for the entire interaction and seemed really disoriented.

I work in customer service and have for many years now, in several different industries. I get it, it is often not fun. People are rude to you all the time when you're doing what you're supposed to do. I get it. However, there's absolutely no excuse to treat a customer poorly for asking for what they ordered. Especially when food is so expensive now.

From what others have said, it seems like this place is really trying to cut corners. Food is always cold and tacos stick to the wrapper and break off completely because they're so soggy, like they're probably pre-making way too much food and letting it sit. The only reason I kept getting food from them is because it's the closest fast food open late where I live. They've also been cash-only for like the past few weeks, not sure what's going with that. literally live around the corner from taco bell but i just had surgery on my knee so i can’t physically go and get my food myself. ordered doordash expecting it to at least be decent like it usually is, and i was very quickly disappointed. food was literally ice cold, and this was not the drivers fault bc i watched them drive on the map from TB to my house in under 3 minutes. food doesn’t get cold that quick… it was very apparent the food was already cold when my driver received it😐. my crunchwrap supreme was practically folded in two and 1/4 of the wrap didn’t even have contents in it and was empty, completely not proportionate in terms of the stuff being spread out. my dorito tacos had like 50% lettuce and practically no cheese, which is interesting considering they usually like to load on the cheese. chips and cheese, cheese was completely cold, not even lukewarm, so very apparent they did not heat it up or anything whatsoever. no straw for my drink as well as no napkins. bag was scrunched and stickered shut but wasn’t even closed fully so the contents of the bag could have easily been messed with. overall very poor service even for fast food😐 i didn’t pay 25$ to have food delivered around the corner for it to be cold...
