3 family members and myself upgraded our iPhones a week after thanksgiving. Verizon was running a loyalty program for Black Friday where you’d get a large trade in credit if you traded in your old iPhone and purchased the 12. This discount was to be reflected in our December bill. When I reviewed the December bill, Only two of the four lines properly reflected the trade in credit. Over the past 4 months, I’ve called this Verizon and the one on maple 20+ times to speak with George, the former store manager (now maples store manager) who sold us our phones, to communicate to him that two of the accounts have not had the trade in credit applied to their lines. I got ahold of him once in February and explained to him our issue. He said he would take care of it. Sadly, he fixed the issue for one of the lines, but not the other. A couple weeks ago, I was able to get in touch with Ashley, the new store manager. She assured me that she’d talk to George and get the last line situated and to expect a call back later in the week. Unsurprisingly, I never got that call. Overall, we got our phones 5 MONTHS ago and yet one of the lines still hasn’t had his trade in credit applied. I’m sick of calling on a weekly basis to be told that George isn’t there. Maybe this one star review will get...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. Sabrina is the worst scam artist! She told me that I got a free case/screen protector with a new phone purchase and I specially asked her ‘it’s free right? And she said yes. Come to find out she charged me $95 for both. Then when I called to ask about it she lied and said she never told me it was free even though my daughter who was with me remembers me asking and remembers her telling me the same thing, that it was free. I ask to return it and she says ‘it’s been past 14 days so nothing can be done’ well surprise! It wasn’t past 14 days she was just trying to get me to not return it. Then I look at my bill, and after me sitting in the store telling her about my bad experience having the insurance on our old phone and telling her I don’t want it, she signs me up for the insurance!!! I call to talk to the manager and she says he can’t talk because he is on a conference call, I ask when will he be done so I can call back, she tells me 3 hours. Really!? 3 hour conference call for a Verizon store? I find that so hard to believe. Stay away from this store and this girl she is poison and just looking to make commissions off selling accessories even if that means lying...
Read moreIf you enjoy being scammed, this store is the place for you. After upgrading your phone and having them transfer your data, you'll be hit with a surprise $40.00 per phone fee for the transfer—something they conveniently neglect to mention until the very end. By that point, you’re stuck because you've already signed up for the service.
On top of that, they’ll likely mess up your Verizon account, leaving you to spend hours on the phone or at another store to fix their mistakes. Save yourself the headache—go to the Novi Corporate Store or handle everything online instead.
Beware of their relentless upselling. They’ll try to push overpriced accessories like $35 photo lens covers and $35 screen protectors. I declined all of it—it’s a blatant rip-off.
To make matters worse, they didn’t take my trade-in at the time of purchase and told me to bring it back later. No receipt was provided; they claimed they’d email it, but I never received anything.
Avoid this store at all costs.
UPDATE: After posting this review, the corporate office contacted me and I did connected with management. Corporate issued a full refund for their service fees without questions and advised they will be re-training...
