Sheldons Street Pizza — Restaurant in Commerce Charter Township

AN EPIC CHANGE! Sheldon's is a fresh and welcome addition to the pizza offerings in the area. Housed in the old location of Epic Pizza on Union Lake Road, the new owners have given the location a wonderful facelift to include a very clean looking stainless steel profile throughout the restaurant. Service was immediately friendly and welcoming. Now let's talk about food! I ordered six wings, one hand tossed Pizza half pepperoni, half a combination of black olives, banana peppers and onions. I also ordered the garlic breadsticks with homemade ranch dressing. The chicken wings were immediately better than the other two pizza places in the area. the wings were on the small side, but appropriately sized for the price point. They were also well cooked, the sauce was simple and flavorful, overall I would get them again. My biggest disappointment with the wings was the absence of blue cheese dressing. the owner explained the dressings are homemade and they do not make a blue cheese because it doesn't hold well. I substituted Ranch which was very good, but would suggest making blue cheese dressing in small batches to satisfy the purest. The hand tossed pizza crust was crispy and chewy much in a New York style. The cheese was obviously fresh and the pepperoni was flavorful and slightly spicy. The part that shined the most on the pizza was the sauce which has a delicate sweetness to it which you don't find in the area and is a nice contrast to the saltiness and overly seasoned sauce from Jets. The breadsticks which are made from their pizza dough were perfectly cooked golden brown and chewy it had a nice delicate garlic sauce that was not overly greasy. We opted to dip these and ranch, but they do have a garlic cream cheese available and I wish I had just gotten the pizza sauce to tell you the truth it's too good to pass up. We ordered Sheldon's Commerce via DoorDash after enjoying Sheldon's Lake Orion with friends. We were not disappointed at all! We ordered a large regular pizza, a gluten free pizza, garlic bread sticks, and an antipasto salad. Everything arrived at temp, and all items were delicious! The garlic butter bread sticks are my absolute favorite to enjoy. The antipasto salad ingredients were fresh and the salad proportions were very generous. My husband has been gluten free since college with very limited legitimately good gluten free pizzas. He is so excited to eat his leftovers (which never happens from the normal freezer small gluten free crust) and to order it again with another combination of toppings! It is very unique to have a gluten free crust that can stand up to toppings without crumbling apart. I was also confused as to how to order toppings on a gluten free pizza on DoorDash, and when I called the associate that answered the phone was so kind and helpful. Every member of our family thoroughly enjoyed dinner. We will absolutely be ordering Sheldon's for our next pizza...

So excited this place is open near me! I've ordered from them three times in the last month and every time has been outstanding. Their salads are super fresh and made to order. The ranch dressing is made in house (as are most of their others I think). The pizza is perfectly cooked and delicious. We've tried the Hawaiian and Classic Supreme so far. But their boneless wings...OMG. Absolute perfection! Light, crispy breading, not too greasy but perfectly seasoned around tender, juicy chicken. The Sheldon's sauce is my favorite, so I order them without sauce so i can dip them, but the Teriyaki sauce I tried originally was good as well, not too much sauce to drown them, but perfectly tossed. They also reheat well in my air fryer, which is a bonus! The staff is always super nice, even though you can tell they're super busy, they take customer service very seriously. My only "complaint" is the lack of parking, but I will totally deal with that for the...
