Nice, clean, well organized store with both games & comics. I shop back issues & I am happy to say this store has a massive back issue selection. I'll start with the positives- there are A LOT of back issues, by a lot- it would take you days to go through all these. They are well organized all alphabetically. The negatives- these are all organized in cardboard drawer system- your top rows are easily accessible, but the downside is that your bottom row due to the weight of the rows above cannot be moved. Hundreds of comics are being damaged potentially by the damage of the weight. Two, most of the issues are not bagged and boarded. So that means customers flipping through these will be damaged the top half from flipping through. Most of the books are in VF or good condition- I'd be pressed to find any NM books. Three, none of these comics are priced at all. The manager said that the comics are priced based on 'market price' Going through about 10 boxes, most of these are $0.25-$1.00 books. It looks as lot of these were acquired through collections as there are some full runs but a lot of 90s printed pulp. The store does have a NCBD section but this store is definitely geared more towards the gaming community. There are no 'key' books behind the counter or in the display case. My point- it's the stores job to price & organize your books. It's not up to eBay or the customer to find the diamonds- if you want me to shop and spend money have your...
Read moreBuyer Beware – Unprofessional and Condescending Customer Service
I placed an order based on the product image and description listed on the website—both of which turned out to be inaccurate. Honest mistake? Possibly. Normally, a simple return and refund would resolve such an issue. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but simple.
When I reached out to address the error, I was met with a surprisingly rude response from the owner, who stated he “failed to see the issue.” I was taken aback—not only by the lack of accountability but by the dismissive tone.
The follow-up emails only made things worse. They were laced with sarcasm and condescension, rather than any real effort to resolve the issue professionally. At one point, I was told:
“There is no restocking fee at this time, as you are the only customer to ask for a return in more than a thousand orders. I also could have credited you shipping plus 20% of the order price total for it not being exactly what you ordered...”
That kind of response isn't just unhelpful—it's downright insulting.
Mistakes happen. But the way this was handled—from the tone to the refusal to take responsibility—makes it clear that customer service is not a priority here. I recommend...
Read moreFriendly, Knowledgeable staff that works with handicapped and wheelchaired individuals. This place is not only game focused but customer focused as well. this was my first visit to C.U. but the feeling I got was that if I had a question it would be answered completely. As this was my first foray on purchasing a second tier board game (something more than monopoly), Mike educated me in the minutia, if not succinctly or concisely, on how he orders the games and what to expect if I want something that is not on his shelves.
Overall my experience at Collectibles Unlimited was enjoyable. This will be a POI for me when I visit Concord in the future. The gaming area is a little small (4 Tables Big). Despite the smaller gaming space they do host a variety of events through the month and a monthly schedule that can be picked up on location.
The organization of the store is decent. The board games are off to one side and promoted items are on the other nearest the door with RPG books separating them.
It definitely gets my recommendation for local and...
