Read moreMy experience at the NH Historical Society Library was less than satisfactory. The staff is accusatory and treats their patrons as if they are better than them. The staff enforces the library rules in a demeaning way. I have been reprimanded several times for minor infractures such as using a pen in my own personal notebook and having other personal posessions inside the reading room. The library asks a lot of it's patrons but gives little back in return. If you can avoid this particular library, do so.
