Oh.My.Gosh! First time doing take out from the Asian Thai Kitchen.... so so so good.
We had the Shrimp Tempura. Crispy tempura and tasty shrimp. Loved it. The Vegetable Spring Rolls were among the best we've had - the insides were not dry and the outside was crispy but not overdone. The Pad Thai WAS hands down and undoubtedly the best we have had and we have had dozens and dozens of Pad Thai. It was so flavorful. Yummmm.
We also ordered the Panang Curry with added broccoli. It was very good; we chose mild in terms of the spiciness level, but I'd order medium next time. Some heat is the best part of Panang Curry, so I don't know what we were thinking when we chose a mild spice hahaha! Our bad. Great that you can select your spiciness level. Everyone's taste is individual. Definitely worth ordering!
We ordered two new dishes we'd not tried before - Nam Sod Salad and Spicy Ginger Vegetables. The Nam Sod was good; we'd order it again. Love a fresh salad to offset the other spices in the dishes. The Spicy Ginger was good and provided a nice vegetable dish, but I'd try another dish next time.
We would recommend the Asian Thai Kitchen without hesitation. I wish I'd taken more photos but we were so engrossed in eating... I took a photo of the first couple of dishes, then put my phone down, started eating and never picked it up again until we finished eating. Hahaha, a good sign I guess!
Oh and the woman that was at the counter and packed your meal was...
Read moreWelcome Thai Kitchen! We really appreciate the 'home cooked' approach. 2nd time for us, and we're off to a great start. This is obviously a family run business and the food reflects this.
Basil Fried Rice: Please slice the meat (pork) thinner. It was very flavorful and well seasoned but a bit difficult to chew. Lot's of egg and great balance of protein versus rice.
Veggie tempura: The sweet potato is wonderful. Generous portion for such an indulgent fried treat.
Chicken Kra-Pow: We ordered 'medium' but was not very spicy. Will order hot next time. This was our favorite. 5 Stars!
Duck Noodle Soup: We love that you can customize the dishes. We asked for extra ginger which was accommodated, but the pieces were sliced so big! Generous, but a bit overpowering. Duck was very tender, the broth is NOURISHING
Plan ahead when ordering on the weekend. When they get busy, your wait time could be up to an hour (but well worth it). We had 6 complete and enjoyable meals for about $80.00
There is another Thai restaurant on Main St. Concord. Asian Thai kitchen is much different in that they appear to be a more authentic representation of Thai cuisine. This is not a 'fusion' establishment: Straight foreword and non-pretentious.....These people do not pretend to be something that they're not. Give them a try, but give them a little extra time to prepare your food. It's worth the...
Read moreMy fiance and I ordered takeout from here last week and we while we enjoyed one of our entrees, the rest of the dishes weren't great. If your someone who knows good Thai Food, I would not recommend this restaurant.
The Tom Yum and Tom Kha soups tasted off- I don't know how to explain it, but I did not even finish my soup. The two shrimp in my soup had clearly been frozen, and they had a mushy texture and bland flavor.
The Massaman curry was by far the best thing we ordered. It was flavorful and the spice level was just right. The chicken was tender and I enjoyed the mix of vegetables in the curry.
The Pad See Ew was terrible. The beef was tough and flavorless, the broccoli was mushy, and the seasoning/ sauce was just off. It was probably a mistake ordering it as take out, but I don't think it would have been good regardless. We ended up throwing most of it away (which we never do).
I thought the value and portions were pretty good, but if 3 out of 4 dishes are misses, I don't think I'm going to waste my money...
