First Missionary Baptist Church — Local services in Concord

This church is more than just a church! There are activities, services, and events for every age and ALL members of EVERY community in the Concord/Charlotte Metro area (people come from Salisbury and even further to worship here!). Everyone is made to feel welcome, invited, and accepted by the pastors, staff, and the congregation (they try to make a connection with anyone who visits and they keep that connection going through mutual agreement). The Baptist House (part of the church) provides free food, clothing, and even medical services and the church itself provides free professional counseling and free enrichment programs for children and teens. The youth ministry here is AWESOME and you will be captivated by praise and worship! Pastor Rhedrick breaks down the word of God and is very encouraging and people focused: he offers the support needed to keep families strong and make individials part of the family. First Missionary is very youth oriented. My daughter has been attending the youth worship and she can not wait to go back every Sunday. She said, "the youth worship is very welcoming, fun, and engaging". The youth also does fun trips, offers prizes for good grades, and give kids the chance to team build.
