The owner's rude I would never go back there. I went in there to sell some gundam models Which were brand new, but he said they weren't new because there wasn't tape on them. Which any actual person that builds gandams knows that a lot of times you buy the Models online or even p banda. They don't have tape or ribbons. Which he said that I didn't have long so I went to the next thing and figured. I would just, you know. I wasted my gas and time. You know, to talk to someone that was rude and condescending, you know, he acted like he knew so much more about gundam And I don't wanna sound like I'm a knowing all what But I've literally built 500 model kits, especially the ones that I was selling that day or atleast trying to swll Becauseduring the pandemic. You know, I got back into it. And I just needed some extra cash. Because I had kits that I just didn't need. So he insulted me and was rude throughout the whole time. So I'm just gonna keep it short. I ended up, you know, selling a couple pokemon cards. Because I didn't want to waste my time Nord. Did I wanna get nothing out of experience? Because it was a horrible experience and he offered me. Dirt cheap for the cards that I sold and I got credit and I come to see that all the pokemon cards and everything pokemon are late. It is over priced and. Yeah.. The story of this review is I wouldnt come to this place. Unless you were with your little kid to go check out stuff and you had a lot of money to waste because everything is overpriced in there and on top of that, the guy is a common sending horrible not so nice person so I won't be going there. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't care about that. But I'm just warning you. Be very careful about spending your time over there because the guy is not And he seems like he takes advantage...
Read moreThis place is a fantastic, small, local business, and I regret not stopping by more often! I started going in there when my 1st grandchild really started getting into toys & having "favorites". I had just introduced my young grandson to my favorite childhood toy/character: Godzilla (The OG, from the 60's-70's!). I walked in, was greeted so kindly by the owner (I think his name is Tom), and he & I immediately started taking a stroll down memory lane. I could not believe how knowledgeable Tom was about everything Godzilla! I was very specific about the kind of Godzilla toy I was looking for (NOT a collector's item, no sharp spikes, something my grandson could thrash), along with my limited budget, and Tom helped me find a few small figurines. Although I was pleased with those toys, it just didn't seem like enough for my special boy's birthday. Before walking out, Tom called me back in to show me a big box of mismatched used toys that hadn't been inventoried yet. He said that he wouldn't mind if I rummaged thru the box for any "hidden treasures". I found the perfect addition to the small figurines: a large, gently used Godzilla that became one of my grandson's favorite toys! My return visits to the store (& listening to Tom's encyclopedia-like knowledge of toys) didn't disappoint, either! Tomorrow is my grandson's 7th birthday party, and you can probably guess where I'm heading today! Even if you're not looking for anything specific, or you leave without making a purchase, this Pot of Gold is absolutely worth your time! (Tom even said that, if I was looking for a specific product, he would do his best to get his hands on it for me!) Tom- I hope you're working today, bcuz I'm...
Read moreI came here after seeing this store on the news because a family stole from the owner, so I decided to bring some stuff to sale or trade. The first time was a semi-good experience. I had some things he really wanted and so a deal was made. But before we made the deal, he had a tendency to belittle what I had by trying to make me feel it would take a long time to sell and the box it came in wouldn't stand out (a gorgeous collector's box ). In which we as customers are not responsible for the way an owner sells his inventory (not to mention my item sold not even 5 days on his shelf). But I overlooked his Rhetoric and eventually got the money I was looking for. By the second time I visited 2 months later, I had some more that I pulled from my collection that I was willing to part with and not only did he belittle me with a $50 to $75 offer on at least 15 items (ALTOGETHER) when one of them is worth $80 at this point and time, he also had a different pep in his step because he had more people (customers) in there, so he was obnoxiously loud while offering me a disrespectful price. The difference is, he was by himself the first time and this time he wasn't. So all in all, never returning here and I will tell everyone I know NOT to come here. A real collectable store doesn't need to belittle in order to get what he wants. I've been doing this 20 plus years, if you gotta belittle items to buy them, then you shouldn't need to buy them period. I've met owners like this before in different states and its always clear why they are like this... too old to...
