Read this review. I’m not part of a promotion or have any skin in the game as relates to Mancini’s. In fact, until recently we’ve always purchased our mattresses from Macy’s. My most recent visit left me with the impression the sales staff at Macys haven’t the slightest clue what they’re talking about. Frustrated I went to Reddit I found several threads where buyers recommended using local retailers - so on a whim my son and I drove down to Mancini’s in Concord the Sunday before Memorial Day to check it out. Lucky for me I was greeted by John (regional manager) who just happened to be there filling in and I can’t express enough how happy I was with my/our experience there. He walked us through the store and seemed to know exactly where we’d end up, and figured out a way to make something WAY out of price range work. Important to note John had to leave and passed us off to Rob who picked up right where he left off. I’ll say this - we budgeted 3K for a new mattress and left Sunday evening having purchased the one we truly fell in love with — a mattress that retailed for more than twice our budgeted amount, with several additional important pieces included at no cost. There’s a give and take with everything, and it was clear John and Rob understand the importance of the give…in order to get our business down the road. And he/they will. Not to mention he (John) kept in touch with me throughout the delivery process and was willing to take calls and answer questions as things came up. The hell with Macys. It’s true, if you’re looking for a personable experience (and you should be when it comes to your bed) the local retailer will always be more invested in your experience than a big box store. Read moreDO NOT BUY A MATTRESS FROM HERE! My husband and I were not satisified with the mattress we purchased so we requested a pick up for return (within the return window). We had an issue with our return and we were told that only corporate could approve the return. When you call the corporate number and ask for customer service, they transfer you to a voicemail. After calling every day without a response, I called the store again to see what our options were. They again said it was out of there hands and gave me a name to leave on the voicemail for customer service: Monica. After no response, I called the store again and the rep stated he would email her to notify her of the situation. After no response, I called the store again & was told Monica was contacting their Tempur-pedic rep to see what options we had. I called Tempur-pedic customer service and spoke to their rep who profusley apologized for this situation. He stated Tempur-pedic has no control over what Mancini does after they purchase Tempur-pedic merchandise. He stated that if we had purchased the mattress directly from them, they would have returned it in a heartbeat. After no response, I called corporate again and told the rep what was going on. She told me Monica was busy but she could transfer me her voicemail and she would call me back. After no response, I called the store again in desperate hopes of a resolution. When I called, the store manager Brandon stated he was busy and he would call me back. After a couple of hours I called him back and he stated that Monica was going to send me a letter to decline the return. Read moreWent in with the intention of buying a couple pillows and a mattress and I think it was Rob who was "helping" us. He has a beard and is quite tall. Gives me a couple of pillows to try and recommends one of those mattresses that raise and I was intrigued. I can't help but dwell on the fact that as I was translating to my mother what he had said about the mattress, he didn't wait for it and just left us, and started speaking to another family, we stayed in the vicinity for a while but he didn't come back until we were on the other side of the store trying to help ourselves. He did not seem very knowledgeable or eager to help us and was more focused on his other clients assuming we probably didn't want to spend money. When he finally decided to check in with us, I told him I was still thinking about the pillows and was about to say that we want to buy the mattress that gets raised, but he cut me off in the middle of my sentence and said "ok ill be right back, ill go assist some other clients" and was already walking away while saying that. I didn't wanna cause a scene so I left right away. He either has issues paying attention or is just a trash salesperson who only cares about money and makes judgement about his customers based on god knows what. Either way, i know this review wont make a dent and people will continue to be the way they are, but I genuinely wish the money you run after comes back to bite you. I can not excuse rudeness in any way shape or form, especially when I am being nice.
