It’s no wonder why sears/Kmart was going out of business!!! Their jewelry department is a joke!!! Their policy as far as returns/exchange is even a bigger joke! They have a policy stating that if the tag is removed from earrings , they are non returnable! Well this would be my second time exchanging a pair of earrings at sears in concord,ca . Mind you, neither times was I or my husband explained anything about their “ return policy “ . The first time was no problem as there was NO tags attached to the earrings. The second time my husband went to the store, and purchased a pair of earrings to surprise me and I was so happy! Once again the sales person failed to explain the return policy about the tags being attached. My husband who has low vision , found a different set of earrings at kohl’s down the street and for a way better price so he turned around and returned to sears only to be denied the 1270. dollar return of my earrings !! Because the tags were “removed “when they were never attached to begin with. The tags were in the box with the earrings and within the same day ,same hour they still refused to take them back. Stressed and lost on what to do my husband took the “1/4 carat” 10 k gold earrings to be appraised at a professional diamond dealer and was told that those earrings were NOT what they were supposed to be and were cracked scraps of low quality diamonds worth no more than $25!!! Sears sold him FAKE JEWELRY THATVTHEY WOULD NOT TAKE BACK!! NEVER WILL I OR MY HUSBAND SHOP SEARS OR KMART AMD WE WILL MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE WE KNOW IS AWARE OF THEIR POLICY AND WE WILL SPREAD THE WORD TO NOT SHOP SEARS !!! Worse experience ever! Read morebought a pair of shoes on the 7/22/15 I bought the wrong size so on tuesday 7/28/15 I went to return them and get my size and the receipt was not in the shoe box like I thought it would be. No worries I thought at most stores you don't need the receipt if you have the credit card you bought it with. Not at Sears Robert. who was called because the cashier couldn't find it 10 minutes later the manager could't find it either mind this was not big bucks item it was 15 dollars so he said lets go to other register it's not coming up on this.one Now it's fifteen mins. Oh! and all the time while looking for it to come up. He was talking to other customer on the phone, never once did he ever had eye contact with me.Not only that there was three customers before me and two cashiers and the other cashier just left and didn't even look around to see if he could help out. I get better service ar KMart and the dollar stores. OH I love Macy! take customer service lessons from them. They didn't print the size on the picking tickets or packing slips, and they sent the wrong size. They don't answer their phones -- maybe their phones are broken. Their store phone menu has no "customer service" department. On the Sears website, their "customer service" link doesn't lead to any humans. The toll free number closes at 5pm Pacific time, because I guess they decided Californians had no money to spend. Great business decision! Their returns / exchanges website doesn't have an option to say, "you sent me the wrong items, just take these back and send the correct ones", The emails they send say don't reply to this email. They use the cheapest UPS shipping, not even UPS ground, so you can't use UPS MyChoice to adjust the shipping address (if you want an order held at a UPS location for pickup).
