UPDATE
Very disappointed with the Hilton brand. I switched over from another hotel chain to give Hilton a try. Disappointed I did. I didn't receive any stay credits for my three rooms I booked for 3 days each. They state that because I booked through AAA, a third party, I won't receive any stay credits. Very disappointing. I guess I'll be staying with my other brand hotel chain as they do take care of their loyal customers. Won't be staying at Hilton any longer. I would have booked through them directly in the first place had their rates been as good if not better than the third party. I always check pricing directly with the company as that's the best way to go, but this wasn't the case in this instance. Shame on them.
First time staying at this location. We are status members at another chain, but wanted to give Hilton a try as their properties seem newer.
I was impressed. Booked 5 rooms for my family for my mom's Memorial service held near this hotel. The location is large and very clean. The rooms are very spacious. Some look a tad smaller than the one I had, but still very roomy. We are a family of 4, two kids 10 and 12 and fit comfortably on the king size bed. There is a pull out sofa bed in the room if need be. Decent size kitchen to prepare meals. The best thing about the room was their a/c system. I get hot very easily and this by far was the best a/c system I've experienced in a hotel room ever! On top of that, there was a ceiling fan above the bed which was a plus. The bathroom was roomy and very clean. I will definitely be staying there in the future when I visit again. Buffet breakfast was included as well. Not the greatest, but definitely good enough to get your day started. Never got crowded at all during our stay over the weekend and one weekday.
One thing to look out for is that there is a $7/day parking fee which they automatically charge you which is great if you actually have a básicos parked there. However, should you not have a vehicle, you want to make sure they credit you that fee. They charged some of us which did not have a vehicle the fee without even knowing of we had a car or not. They never ask, they simply charge you that fee. My only caveat.
The pool is very small for the amount of rooms, but it seems there are more business type people that stay there and it doesn't get used by many. Our kids enjoyed the pool all to themselves a couple times during our stay. The staff even showed them to go on for an hour after they were supposed to be closed as long as they didn't make too much noise. I was thankful for that.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in the area for leisure or business. I've stayed at several other hotels in the area and this is by far...
Read moreAbsolutely Inappropriate, ill-behaved if I can other words I would, simply put stay away from this place, they don't respect the guests or their business. Their breakfast and social's are a joke!!! One day we were told by Stefani (the so called front desk, who doesn't know a thing) that we could take the raw materials up to our rooms and cook ourselves because the oven is broken! Never ever heard that before in a hotel, they stopped giving out water, bags to carry food into the rooms. The food will fall in the hallways in doing so. We will drink water as we like, the staff shouldn't tell us how much to drink, it's highly inappropriate. The hotel gets paid for all our rooms, and I have never been behaved with like by breakfast staff or the front desk of a hotel, this place is special. They always like to serve themselves, their front desk, all their staff while the guests are waiting to get breakfast, if you like to distribute food to staff, don't tell us then you ran out which is the line they say all the time and the hotel is charging a high rate for mold and mildew smelling rooms? The cleanliness is another level joke, there's ants in the rooms they invaded our food supplies and the arrogant manager didn't even say sorry it happened. That Gm 'PG' himself is an overgrown child!!! He doesn't belong in management and service!! He should be thrown out... There's a high level of negligence and bad ethic going around at this location. The manager Pau* Gain* is a manipulative and an outright liar, an arrogant man... we have never ever seen this in a hotel before and this is Hilton standards, really? He doesn't deserve to be the manager at all. The staff is to service the hotel not to eat the portions of the guest and then guests being told that we ran out, which is their line for everything. It's plain inappropriate. The front desk Stefa* is also an excessively arrogant woman, she calls herself a manager on the phone but she's not! She eaavsdrops on your and your kids conversations and then passes it on the manager, it's a shame this is a Hilton brand hotel but they are so cheap and bringing the name of the chain down low....
Read moreThe room was nice enough, but we found a lot of trash and big dust clumps under and behind the furniture. We also found a game piece and a used condom so that was... an experience. (We always check for anything left behind when we check in so that we can turn it in to the front desk.) No biggie. We cleaned it. We've found worse in other hotels. Halfway through our stay, on Christmas night at 11pm, halfway through our say, a paper slid under our door and we were given less than 12 hours notice that they would be doing a fire alarm test that involved mandatory room inspections and sprinkler tests. I'd stayed here so that I could work while still being on a family vacation, so that threw a wrench in things. I spoke to the front desk about this and was rudely informed that this happens quarterly (so if it was a regularly scheduled thing why wasn't I told at check-in so that I could plan?) and that I could talk to a manager when she returned on 12/27. Okay, cool. On the 27th, there wasn't a manager available. On the 28th, when I checked out, I was informed that I was the only person to ever complain in this establishment's existence. Yep. Ever. So much so that they didn't have a manager at the location. Or an assistant manager. Or anyone that could answer questions about why this alert was passed out with less than 12 hours' notice. There was no resolution upon checkout. I'd come back if it was the only option, but I think I'll stick with the Concord Plaza Hotel next time....
