Very nice, cozy 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. The furnishing is comfortable enough, with reasonable seating for 4. We were only 2, so we had plenty of room. However, there is definite room for improvement, hence my rating of 4. Some of these items are probably very difficult to improve/fix. Here is my list: Minor item, but both toilet seats in both bathrooms, don't stay up by themselves. This is due to the border of the toilet tank top. This interferes with a man's preferred position. :-) Window covering in the main bedroom does a poor job of blocking light. The shades should be blackout. TVs are a bit small. I was told that there was both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig. The unit had the Keurig, but it didn't have a drip. It did have a French press. The stairs from the street, down to the unit are precarious, and not evenly spaced. Especially, the last step by itself. The edges of the stairs should be painted in a bright reflective color. The parking area should be lined so that people don't take up 2 spots. A couple of nights we returned after dinner with no place to park in front of the complex. And finally, the worst issue for us, which would mean that we would NOT stay in this unit again. The noise from upstairs. Due to the method of construction, one can hear virtually every foot step from the residents in the unit directly overhead. This is a deal breaker for us.
Otherwise, we liked the place very much. The location is fantastic, especially if you are visiting the wineries on the West side. And, the immediate surrounding area...
Read moreMy husband, I and a friend stayed in the 2-bedroom Ranchette at Coastal Harvest Hideaways for 2 nights over New Years Eve. It was perfect. The living room, well-stocked kitchen, and bedrooms were all spacious with nice decor. The unit was clean and airy with plenty of windows to let in light and provide views of the open space behind the unit. Although we didn’t use them, there were even a large patio and a washer/dryer. The location is ideal for going downtown, to wineries, or a drive over to the coast. We spent NYE day at the coast watching elephant seals and then returned for a great dinner at Junction Restaurant before joining the fun community NYE celebration at Downtown City Park. The latter two places are within a mile of Coastal Harvest Hideaways, so an easy walk or drive. We met another couple staying at the Hideaways and they were taking an Uber for a winery tour. We’ll try that next time since we are certain we’ll...
Read moreWonderful place to stay for a quick get away! Met a few other lovely couples staying in other Hideaways from out of town and had great conversations! Loved being close enough to walk to downtown Paso, yet far enough to escape the crowds and enjoy the peaceful oak studded property. Jacuzzi was super clean and perfect to spot to enjoy a glass. Countless wineries are just a short drive away, and the Sensorio light show in Paso was an absolute must-see. Definitely will be back! May check out another room...
