Red Scooter Deli — Restaurant in Paso Robles

We went there on June 5 2021, we placed our order a hour in advance. We were one of three couples that placed an order. Ours went in 1st followed by two others. When we got to the deli they have a counter where they put online orders, to our surprise our order and another order were not there. The order that got placed last was there. We asked about the other two orders and were told are you sure you placed them, I responded well you took the money out of my account with no problem. The girl that was helping me said let me check again after a few minutes she came back and said we found your order and it is being finished right now, it will be 2 more minutes. 10 minutes later I went back and asked again and nobody knew anything about our order. This time a guy asked what we ordered and went back, at this time I saw many people that showed up and just placed there orders getting them. After about another 10 minutes we finally got our sandwiches. The sandwiches were ok not the best we had had from here. I felt that nobody really cared about how bad the service was that poor customer care is just ok. I would not go back to this place again there are other places that are better or just as good with alot better customer service. Mr pickles in San luis obispo...

This week I hosted a luncheon for 16 seniors. I ordered 16 box lunches from RSD. 😋Everyone was delighted! We ordered by email 48 hours in advance, and for my purposes, I included the first names of everyone receiving a box, to help me pass them out. When our delivery person arrived with our 16 boxes, each one was already labeled with a name of the person receiving that box. That was wonderful. RSD potato salad is the only potato salad I like better than my own. The broccoli salad was delightful, as was the fresh fruit salad. My guests enjoyed the chicken salad croissant, the Roast Beef & Swiss cheese croissant, and the most popular item was The Bird, turkey with cranberry and cream cheese. We will definitely order from Red Scooter again, and our next Winery trip will include some box lunches from Red Scooter. We got very personalized service, had great communication....

Probably the best and most unexpected lunch spot in Paso Robles. When I planned a visit to Paso Robles I was looking for possible lunch spots and this place made the short list. I would have expected more your average place with some sandwich selection and may be salads but the menu actually was pretty expansive and with wonderful variety.

The place is very small I think only a couple of tables inside but the main action is actually outside where they have 6 tables with a view of the park. The fare is from a nice family run deli, Cold cuts are fresh, so are the salads the cheese is not like quite a few places I had a misfortune of visiting, but nice (maybe even artisanal) crumble, coffee tastes like coffee. I mean overall a nice place to have lunch at.

If I am ever down the Paso Robles way I'll definitely visit.
