I have not shopped for groceries at this Kroger in quite some time. My review is solely for the pharmacy. Due to the proximity to our house, I normally have prescriptions for our family filled at the WalMart up the street although resoundingly, I have had nothing but frustrating and overall bad experiences with the WalMart pharmacy. In a nutshell, there has not been ONE time that WalMart has not managed to somehow mess up the simple process of filling our prescriptions. It was no different yesterday, when we called ahead of time to make certain that they accepted something called the "GoodRx" card/coupon/plan which I had just been made aware of, and was attempting to use for the first time. They told me over the phone, that they did accept it, but when we went to pick up the prescriptions, we were told that they did not accept it for "controlled substances". How difficult is it to say that from the get-go?
I then phoned the Kroger pharmacy up the street and asked if they accepted the GoodRx card. They said they did. I asked if they accepted it for 'controlled substances', specifically, Adipex. They said they did. I asked the lady on the other side of the line if she was SURE they did. She laughed, and said that she had worked at the pharmacy for over ten years, and that she was sure. How refreshing.
I phoned the Kroger pharmacy a couple of hours after I understood the prescriptions had been sent to them, but was advised that they were not ready, and that it would be approximately another 45 minutes to an hour. I had no problem with that, and decided to pick them up the next day.
The following day I phoned to make sure they were ready, and to see if I could get a price on them. The lady on the phone (unlike WalMart) had NO PROBLEM with taking the GoodRx information over the phone, and providing us with the price of each prescription.
The pick-up went without a hitch, and the Kroger pharmacy personnel were as pleasant and efficient in person, as they had been over the phone.
Based on just this one interaction with them, I would definitely recommend the Kroger pharmacy over the WalMart pharmacy a...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just cannot believe anyone but employees gave more than 3 stars. I see this scam a good bit. This store is CONSTANTLY out of stock of many many items. Their selections of items are far less than that of other Krogers around town. If you need assistance be prepared to campout to finally get help. I have never been to a store where soda is out of stock, for days. I used the Kroger on Wirt Road for years. They are a 6 star, 2 is very generous for the Tomball Parkway store. The produce section is laughable. The lack of product of all kinds is the big problem. They just cannot order or stock to meet the needs of their customers. Yes, from time to time all stores run low or out of product. But seriously is it normal for a store to be completely out of ānon-saleā items for weeks and weeks? This store needs a manager that can count. They need to be able to count passed 20 without exposing themselves to get to 21. The self checkout clerk acted like she had a hearing disability and finally dealt with my issue with a HUGE eye roll. I spend more money in one buy than she makes in 2 weeks, but I was the problem. I just threw up in my mouth a little thinking about their in store ready food. Like shusi and the deli things left for...
