The store was neat, clean and well stocked. The prices weren't shockingly low or extraordinarily high in most instances. The Jewelry section and dressing rooms close 30 minutes prior to the rest of the store, which closes 5 minutes before they actually close apparently. Me and my friend tried to be as quick as possible, getting there 40 minutes before closing, to spend a class action lawsuits settlement gift card that was issued as a condition of TJ MAXX'S fake sale litigation. You'd think they would be nicer seeing as I was a claim member who has already fulfilled my obligations as a customer with regards to redeeming the settlement money. After looking at several departments my friend directed me Towards some office supplies by a brand I know and love, Knock Knock. It had been announced what felt like every 5 minutes, that the store was closing soon, but just as we began to rush to the register with our merchandise, an employee stated to time and that we had 15 minutes. Then 2 mintake ourtutes later (6minutes before closing, we were told the manager wanted us to pay and leave. I was confused because we were just told we didn't have to rush. sure enough at register were four or more employees waiting with their arms folded, saying "just close the register, we should have been gone 5 min ago". (9 minutes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time here. Here are my thoughts based on one store:
T.J. Maxx is a department store orientated toward's women's clothing and shoes taking up most of the space. Very clear suggestion for women buying clothes, with high-end brands at low prices (e.g. at the entrance, bags available for $19.99 dollars
Men, it's best to look for another store for your clothing needs, since the section over there is small, limiting your choices. Ross or Burlington are your alternatives.
Along with that a furniture section, at the back of the store.
To the middle left of the store are the toys section, smaller compared to the men's clothing + boy's clothing or Burlington's/Ross's toys section.
Summary: A big section for women's section of clothing, bags and shoes indicate a suggestion for ladies to shop here, discouraging men to buy their...

After 20 minutes I went to the front & the line was wrapped all the way to the back of the store. I was in pain, so I was thinking of leaving my items. I had some perfume behind the counter. I asked an associate if she could help me (I was embarrassed to ask for special treatment). I told her I would just leave my items on hold and try to come back later. She was kind, and told me to come to her register. She rang me up quickly & quietly. I thanked her, but don't remember her name. I told her how grateful I was, & told her I would definitely pass this forward. Which I try to do often anyways. I like the store, but when employees are kind it makes me a...
