Advanced Skin Care Center — Local services in Conway

My experience pertains to attempting to obtain a gift certificate. I was seeking a Christmas present for my wife and we live locally. Consequently, my wife provided me with some "ideas." She would be happy with a gift certificate form Advanced Skin Care Center. Thus, that was my quest. I contacted the establishment via email and inquired about protocol to buy a gift certificate. I was directed to visit the following day within certain time parameters and I did just that. Unfortunately, no staff was available and I realized that they could be conducting business. I waited, and waited, but to no avail. Mind you, I followed directions to the letter and follow-up with an email. That was never answered!

Wait, Carrie JUST contacted me after a year of silence. Irrespective of what she said, I want the consumer to determine whether communication after ONE year is an acceptable practice. I'll not render my opinion.

Not at all what I expected. On the website it says most advanced skincare. The custom facial, which I asked for, says we do whatever your skin needs at the time including ultrasonic cleanse, exfoliation and extractions if needed. When I called, the woman said she didn't do extractions which was odd but fine because I thought I'll just do a peel. It wasn't until I got there and had already undressed that she told me she wasn't the owner and didn't do any advanced skincare at all. No peels or anything except apply product--which any person can do themselves at home. She also charged me $90 for the custom facial which was supposed to be 60 minutes but was only 45 minutes. I tried to get advice on my acne scarring and she just told me to do my research and talk to the owner. I'm just so confused. I have been going to advanced skin care for a number of years and all the treatments work, very well, the owner is very thoughtful and considerate. She is extremely knowledgeable about all the treatments and services offered. Each and every visit, is unique for each client. I have always felt pampered and special. I get so many compliments on my skin and I have to say it’s because of the quality ingredients in all the products I have been using, thanks to Carrie Seifer’s recommendation.
