Ride The Whites — Local services in Conway

The New Neighborhood Shop Chris at Ride The Whites is exactly what downtown North Conway needed. As this area as cemented itself as such a destination for mountain biking riding, it lacked a dedicated shop right in the heart of town - but that's where Chris comes in. Not only is the location perfect but the shop has the feel of a place that knows what they are doing. Chris fixed the creaking my bike was making but also took the time to go through the whole bike, tire to tire, and seemingly went through it with a fine tooth comb. He found problems I didn't know I had (but makes sense, given the use of the bike) and recommended some service that needed to be done but I hadn't thought of.

He takes care of your bike like it's his own because he's out there riding everything that everyone else is. He knows what a dialed bike should feel like and it is apparent that he takes that knowledge and puts it into his work. Better yet, he'll chat with you when you drop off and pick up your bike to talk through what he's done, suggestions, and even work on the suspension set up with you if he has noticed something just doesn't feel perfect. What's crazy too, is you notice these changes when you go out and ride. It's one thing for a shop to fix what you ask them to fix, it's another for a shop to fix that, do more and make an actual difference in your ride.

I can’t say enough good things about Ride the Whites. I rolled in after a few big days on the trails around North Conway with a dropper post that was acting up and a bike that honestly wasn’t in top shape after a recent big tour of hard riding out west. Chris not only fixed the dropper on the spot but somehow squeezed me in for new tires and brakes the same afternoon!

When I came back to pick it up, he even offered to help me dial in my suspension. The difference was unreal—riding some of the most iconic lines here the next day, it felt like I was on a completely new bike. The guy knows his stuff and clearly cares about getting people back out on the trails.

Ride The Whites is an absolute gem of a shop to have in downtown North Conway. I recently rented 3 E-bikes to celebrate a friends birthday and was extremely happy with the service. Chris went above and beyond to make sure our rentals were dialed before we departed to ride amazing trails out their back door. While out riding, Chris also diagnosis some drivetrain issues on my regular bike that other mechanics had struggled to figure out. Upon returning he clearly explained the issues and got me sorted. Overall, the vibe of the shop is great and it’s clear that Chris and his crew have a deep love and knowledge of all things bikes.
