I went to pick up my new eyeglasses With new prescriptions. I took them home, wore them for a few days and realized that the prescription was not right and they needed to be Improved. Someone from the optical department listen to my challenges and and my difficulties with distance and close up vision. After Dr. Ford reviewed the notes they told me that they would redo the prescription and call me as soon as it’s ready. So on the date, they said they were ready. I went to pick them up and they told me to wait in the lobby area. I waited for about a half an hour and started to get restless, wondering why it took so long. I went in the back to the optical department and asked them what was going on and they told me they broke the new frames and that the lens that came in from the lab were too big. In other words, they left me waiting for half an hour without telling me there was Any issues I finally just stood up and went to the back area where the opticians are and asked what the problem was and they explain the problems I mentioned above. They told me That they didn’t know what to tell me and they would have to wait for Monday to be able to talk with the manager, who was not there at the time. It wasn’t until mid week that I had to call them to find out what was going on. I finally just said to forget about it and that I want a full credit for what I had already paid. He said that would be no problem and they would issue the credit I waited and checked my bank app for about a week and hadn’t seen any credits come through. so I then called back and asked where the credit was and they explained that they would send it the next day my complaint with all of this is that one the glasses came in completely wrong, and they broke the frame in their office second, they left me waiting in the lobby for a half an hour before I went to the back to find out and discover that they had broken the frame and had the wrong size lenses, and then to get the credit I had to bug them to finally take care of that which they finally did do and I receive the credit. We have a large family and have recently moved further from Conway but Stefanie was amazing on the phone today at accommodating my request for scheduling our family’s annual eye exams. She was very kind and patient with me considering the amount of time we spent on the phone scheduling the appointments today. I gave her an A+ on customer service!
Dr. Ford is by far one of the best Optometrist, if not the best but I can confidently say he is my favorite! His bedside manner is impeccable. He has such a calming presence about himself that you could almost take a nap if you were allowed to shut your eyes. His sincere & caring nature paired with his gentleness is a quality hard to find in others, much less those in the medical field.
When you’ve experienced less than ideal situations with doctors, it’s important to recognize those that truly stand out and go the extra mile.

Read moreI took my three year old to this place (in both 2019/2021) to have her vision checked and mentioned something I noticed about her eye. They looked at her eyes and said her vision looks fine but come back regularly because she will likely need glasses at some point. I felt like they blew me off a bit then but trusted what they said. I just had her annual exam and had a LIFE CHANGING DIAGNOSIS that these people did not catch. There is no way on earth it should have been missed. I am absolutely heartbroken and LIVID because knowing a year ago would have helped my daughter immensely. Thankfully we moved and went to a different eye doctor who was able to see clearly what issues she has. I would never ever recommend this place- especially for children. The doctor that did see my daughter was rude and impatient with her- and anyone who has children knows that’s a sure way to make sure the child has a harder time cooperating.
