I've a long history with this beautiful little slice of nature, I used to ride a bike 8 miles to work, every day, for a year solid I rode that bike, and coincidentally the shortest path included the entire length of this trail. During my first few weeks of this pretty daunting commute (being in my mid thirty's and jumping straight to riding a bike 16 miles a day was challenging at first, and I did not care for the extra work both BEFORE and AFTER a solid 8 hour shift of work every day. But after a couple months a strange thing happened, with my wireless bose headphones pounding away my soundtrack of music for my trip every day, I would soon fall into a cadence of sorts, with the tempo of the music, and the rithym of my pedal strokes finding a correlation soon my entire mindset would fall into this amazingly comfortable and pleasant feeling of happyness soon began to overwhelm me. I can't say I remember exactly when, but soon enough my 16 miles of biking with my headphones on became the high point of my days, and since a health stretch of that was spent passing through this scenic trailway I always associate the two and remember them both very very fondly. Seeing the different people, some walking, riding, sitting or walking dogs, maybe pushing strollers was just a very surprising thing I found alot of pleasure in every day. Eventually my transportation means changed, and at the time I profusely stated how glad I was to not have to pedal so far every day. In reality, to myself I knew I was going to miss my ride every morning, and the same for the way home. Taking a car was then seemed bland and flavorless by comparison. All in all, I recommend this trail for it's cleanliness, great for experiencing the first time, but once this became my routine for a year, when I stopped using it, I immediately felt as if I was robbing myself of something I found great solace and peace in experiencing. I still miss it today when I think of it. Been almost ten years, and I still remember those turn like I took them...
Read moreIf you enjoy walking then this is a great trial to start walking. it is a long trail but it depends on how far you want to go. along the way you may come across several shopping areas where you might want to stop and just walk around the shopping plaza. But for the most part it gets you out of the city life and into nature where you may see anything from bird to squirrels to snakes and stuff in between. It makes a good place to take the kids and just enjoy some out door time...
Read moreGreat place to get some good outdoors time. We saw folks of all ages walking and biking, alone and in small groups, some with dogs. It's really a great amenity for Conway and we're glad folks enjoy it. Some older and newer neighborhoods connect with it and are nicely incorporating it for healthful activity.
We saw no suspicious activity and drove a "beater" truck here but recent news reports describe break-ins, so don't leave valuables visible...
