Title: A Disappointing Experience at Appliance Mart: An Endless Wait and Poor Service
Review:
I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Appliance Mart, an appliance store that left me disappointed and dissatisfied with their services. After waiting for a staggering seven months to receive a microwave and an install kit, which I had paid an extra $240 for, I was shocked to find the package left unattended on my doorstep for me to install myself.
The prolonged waiting period alone was a significant inconvenience. Seven months is an excessively long time to wait for a simple microwave and install kit, especially considering that the purchase had been made in good faith. The lack of communication regarding delays was disheartening, leaving me in the dark about the status of my order.
Furthermore, the additional cost of $240 for the install kit, with the expectation of professional installation, made this experience all the more frustrating. I had willingly paid the extra amount, expecting a hassle-free installation process. However, to my dismay, the package was unceremoniously left on my doorstep without any assistance or follow-up from Appliance Mart.
As a customer, I had placed my trust in Appliance Mart to provide a seamless shopping experience and reliable service. Unfortunately, they failed to meet even the most basic expectations. Not only did the company fall short in delivering the promised product within a reasonable timeframe, but they also neglected their responsibility to provide the installation service I had paid for.
Given these circumstances, I cannot recommend Appliance Mart to potential customers. The combination of an excessive wait time, a significant additional cost for installation, and the lack of professional assistance during installation is simply unacceptable. It is essential for a business to value their customers and respect their commitments.
I hope that Appliance Mart takes this review as an opportunity to improve their services, address their shortcomings, and enhance their customer support. As for myself, I will be seeking alternative options for future appliance purchases, as my experience with Appliance Mart has left me thoroughly...
Read moreMy 2 year old freezer was not cooling properly. I called Appliance Mart on July 2, 2020. On July 3, 2020 the service person came and told me he had located the problem and would order the part. He was very professional. On July 23, 2020 @ 11:00 I called in to check about the part. I had not heard from anyone since the service call. Mr. Allred answered my call and said the person he needed to talk to was on the phone, but he would talk to them and call me back. At 5:00 that afternoon I had not received a phone call. I called back and he answered the phone and said he would let me talk to Mrs. Allred. Mrs. Allred told me that she could not find anything with my name on it. She asked for the model and serial number. She continued to tell me it wasn't coming up in her system. On my 4th time of reading it she said, "There it is." She then asked two people if they had been to my house. Both answered, "no." She then told me it must have been a person who didn't work on Fridays. I told her the person came on a Friday. She told me she would ask him on Monday and call me back. On Wednesday of the next week, July 29, 2020, still no phone call. I went to the store. I was there 45 min. Neither knew what was going on, and I had to start from the beginning. They could not find anything. I asked if we could just start over by getting someone to come back out and look at the freezer. Mr. Allred said, "That's what we need to do." They put me on the schedule for the next day. I waited all day for the repairman. At 5:15 I called and Mr. Allred answered. He said my work order was with the person on the route and he would call them to see where they were and call me back. No phone call was ever made back to me. On Friday morning I called in and Mrs. Allred had no idea what was going on and said the part was in. When I reminded her that they could not find anything on it and a person was supposed to come the day before she said, "Well when it leaves my hands I don't know anything about it anymore." At that point I told her my patience had run out and I was finished with Appliance Mart. It is sad because they used to be really good. They had a great business. It is time for some help...
Read moreOur Amana dryer which is only 2 years old ended up not heating up. The dryer ran just like it always does but the heat was not working. We figured it was the heating element and we were going to buy the part through an online store. Something told me to get a kit but I hesitated on getting anything online as I did not feel that the part was coming from anyone in the U.S. and we would have had to wait 5-7 days before the part arrived. If that happened we were going to wash our clothes at the house and take them to the laundromat to dry, which is very inconvenient.
I started looking for an appliance repair shop near Spencer TN, (which of course is never near Spencer). I ended up calling Appliance Mart and spoke with Brandon. Not only did he have the part but asked me to bring in the heating element so he could test it out.
I brought the heating element in and he tested it and my heating element was fine. He explained that it could be several things including the high limit thermostat, dryer thermal cut off fuse etc. He pointed me to the kit that had all these things and told me what I needed to do when I got home. Turns out it was the high limit thermostat that decided not to work properly any more.
Because of Brandon and his thorough customer service and knowledge, I fixed my dryer as soon as I got the parts home and my wife was so happy! All this done on December 23rd a day before Christmas eve!
I appreciate Brandon and Appliance Mart. Now if anything else goes wrong with either the dryer or washer, I know where to go to get the...
