Terrible experience. I was interested in a weapon and the shop owner initially answered my questions, although he was obviously annoyed that I was asking for details on a very old 1940s firearm. I live about 2 hours away so I wanted to know as much as possible about the firearm before driving the distance. I asked if I could purchase a sling and oiler for the weapon and the owner told me he wasn't going to answer any more of my questions, that he was no longer answering questions about the weapon. I assume the owner is hiding something about the weapon as this is very unusual. Customer/Buyer beware, be sure to read his reviews on gun broker as well, he has several Fs and he's on the verge of being kicked off...
Read moreI recently discovered this place by accident on google. What an absolute GEM. It is beneath/part of an antique store downtown. I stopped by today, and though the “bunker” portion is by appointment only, the owner David obliged me, and took me down to check it out. David is an antique firearms/knife/all things military dealer. You legit feel like you are in a bunker, and the walls are just covered with historical weapons and artifacts. I’m by no means educated on antique firearms, but David is an open book and will answer any questions. Make an appointment and come check this place out. Support...
Read moreIt’s like walking into a museum, but the exhibits are for sale. What a store! There’s a very friendly and knowledgeable duo of buyers that will answer any questions one might have about the amazing pieces they have to offer. If you’re a fan/collector of 1911s and/or Lugers, this place is incredible. There’s also a wide selection of long guns and all sorts of military memorabilia on hand. I’ve never said “wow,” or “woah cool!” more than during a visit to The Bunker. Truly one of Cookeville’s (and the state of Tennessee’s) hidden gems. Amazing. Highly recommend...
