A month ago, i went to buy a tv. The associate, David, told me if i opened a best buy credit card, i would receive $150. So i agreed to open a card. As i was filing out the information on the pad he was telling me what to press on the pad machine, than was given the option if i wanted a card to only use at best buy or i could use anywhere. After i was finished with opening the account, he than let me know that the $150 would be in credit and i would receive it in about 4-8 weeks. I went back to the store today to see if the credit was on my account, a different associate than informed me that since I chose the 24 month interest fee option, that I would not be getting the $150 credit. I was never informed prior. He told me it was one option or the other. So I than spoke with the manager Zack. He was very rude and immediately started speaking to me as if I was lieing and as if i did something wrong. He also said, well why did you choose the 24 month option, that or was on the pad and that I had to have read it. I told him, I never read it, I was never informed of that. When I was pressing the pad, David was telling me what to press up, and trust the associate, i was just pressing what he was telling me to press. He was arguing with me stating i had to read it. He than left without saying anything, came back a couple minutes later and said he just looked at the footage and the footage showed me choosing the 24 month option. I reiterated to him, i did not read it, David was telling me what to press on the screens. Zack than offered me 5%back in hopes to satisfy me, which would equal about $60 some dollars. I told him absolutely not, that is not what i was sold on. David falsly sold me on something that was not accurate. I have filed complaints with corporate as well as the credit...
Read moreI ordered a part for my car stereo, and due to multiple errors on Best Buy’s behalf resulted in my part being missing. After several weeks without my part, I called the store to learn that the part was shipped to the wrong city! After spending hours on the phone with Best Buy customer service and the UPS, I called the Coon Rapids Best Buy back to report that I needed a new part sent to the correct address. The Best Buy Coon Rapids General Manager, Terence Jamison, complied and had the part sent to my correct address, however, when I then told him how disappointed I was with the service at Best Buy, he told me it wasn’t his fault. He then laughed at me and told me that there was nothing else he could do for me. It was at this point when I told him that I was going to write a negative review about him and his Best Buy store. He immediately began to backpedal and apologized for the poor service I had received at his Best Buy. For me it was too late for apologies after being laughed at for making a complaint about service in his store. I am not the type of person who is interested in receiving free items or gift cards in exchange for being humiliated. I simply told him he had been extremely rude and hung up the phone.
On top of that, even having the part reordered, I was told it will take two weeks before I will even see the part. Why would I ever go back to Best Buy when I can literally order the same part on Amazon and have it at my doorstep the next day? Totally unacceptable. How does Best Buy expect to compete with the Internet with horrible service, a store that doesn’t even have what you are looking for, and slow shipping? I do not know the answer to that question, but good luck to you Best Buy, you...
Read moreCame to the store looking to trade in my PS4 system and switch to a PC system. First off, I go trade in my PS4 and they offer me $40 for being in “poor condition” Due to some scuff on the bottom... granted that I keep my possession usually average to above average conditions. So I go to gamestop which is about 100-200 yards away and they laughed and offered me $200. So I take that deal instead cause the Best Buy guy would not even negotiate even to $100.
Next night I decide that okay I will buy my PC from Best Buy, I am in the store and I see this one for 1249! So I thought what the heck I’ll take that one. I go check out and it rings up as 1549. With the price sign on the box saying 1249. Here it is labeled incorrectly with wrong price and wrong model. I asked if the sales associate if they could talk to the manager about honoring the price it was advertised at. Of course, manager says no, things like that happen and with the shuffling of all the product mistakes happen...
I worked as a retail department manager in a big box store and that is a real thing to honor prices that are incorrect. I have made mistakes before pricing things wrong and been yelled at about it, which was one of my main priorities and duties is to make sure all items are priced appropriately as they should be. I am completely dissatisfied with Best Buy now after being a credit card signee for over 5 years and doing all my purchases with electronics with them. I will not step foot back into the store again. They are closing stores for a...
