Ichiddo Ramen — Restaurant in Coon Rapids

The first time I tried their food (shortly when they opened), I was pretty disappointed. Of course I had ramen but my husband brought it and I don't even know what it was. But, just for context, I really like pho and pho has a "rich", distinct taste with all the spices. Ramen has always been kinda bland to me, so I guess it's not their fault.

Today, I tried some of their appetizers and they're all good. I had the short ribs, roasted char siu (pork belly) and the chicken kara-age.

The short ribs tasted like the Korean short ribs, again with milder taste. The char siu was also really good, if you like fat. But it should be eaten hot, that's my preference. The chicken kara-age are nuggets but better and they're also better with the sauce.

Will actually try them again next time. And order other things...

We've recently started going to this Ichiddo location and it's great! The ramen is so good! We always eat to the bottom of the bowl, the broth is so savory and flavorful. We love the kimchi ramen, crispy chicken ramen, pork buns, gyoza, and milk tea. Service is always fast and the servers are very polite.

The last time we were there, on 5/15, the place was a lot busier than usual with dine ins, take-outs, and doordash orders. There was only one server and I think she is relatively new, we could tell she was stressed but she did a wonderful job. She was polite, our order was correct. really nice and cozy place, the service was good, although the waters weren't refilled without being asked (and it was all we had to drink). We ordered the Char Siu Pork Bun and a Fried Chicken Bun, both were great, the bun was nicely steamed and fillings were plentiful; we both liked the pork version better. I ordered the Char Siu Pork Ramen and my companion ordered the Beef Ramen. I really enjoyed my dish, although mine arrived missing the fish cake - which I didn't discover until it was too late, it had good flavor and better yet with a sprinkle of the togarashi they had sitting on the table.
