Even though I came in right before closing the service and attention was down home Texas, warm welcoming and genuinely friendly. The information provided about cognacs and IPAs was informed and thoughtful. We all want to support local businesses and this is a great one. They had an incredible selection of cigars, pipes, smoking products to go with excellent selection of beer, wine and spirits.

I've been staying at a hotel around the corner on my latest trips to the Denton area and have really enjoyed my stays. It's nice to have a convenient liquor store just a couple of steps away from the hotel.

After living so much of my life in Houston and Dallas the charm of Denton and Corinth is hard to really capture unless you've experienced it the people are genuine and kind and often much more helpful than what's required. Popped into J's to grab some items to celebrate post-wedding. We are from out of town, so when searching Google for "liquor", J's had the most stars. Naturally, I decided to go there and I got to experience why they have 5 stars. I was immediately greeted when I entered and both person's behind the counter were so quick to help me find what I needed so I could get in and out relatively quickly. I don't normally drink, so when attempting to find a vodka everyone would like, they suggested a certain brand that has a similar taste to Jolly Ranchers. Well, they were right, and it was a hit. They have a great selection of beverages here but I shop here mostly for cigars. The staff is great and very helpful. They have a huge cigar selection, actually the biggest selection I can find in the area. They even ordered and started carrying one of my favorite cigars they weren’t carrying in their inventory.
