Some inside information that I've gotten from some of the employees there is quite interesting to the complaints made about this restaurant...
The general manager and some of the shift managers barely speak English and often employs one of their workers to translate for them. Why don't they have the bilingual Mexican kid as their general or shift manager since all these higher-up workers struggle with the first language here?
They're (not) currently looking for new hires. In fact, they're slowly losing more employees (they're down to about 7 in total) and both the general manager and regional manager have a negative bias towards hiring certain types of workers like high school kids, because they feel as though they would be lazy workers and not make the cut. You would be lucky to see more than three employees there working on one of those days.
Going back to the part where they are slowly losing more employees, the majority of the ones left are considering turning in a "two-weeks" notice and little to no news about new hires exist.
I would have given them two stars for at least keeping the place relatively sanitary, but all of the deeper and ridiculously stupid problems keep it at a one for me.
DON'T COME HERE! For both your sakes and the struggling employees that deal with the moronic managers here, stay home or go to another place to eat. Don't come here unless you're willing to risk lengthy wait times at both the dining and drive-thru; In fact, if you have to wait for five-ten minutes just for the speaker to welcome you or tell you to wait, just leave... don't be an idiot and wait fifteen minutes just to...
Read moreI came to the local Popeye's which I have been to before and while I really can't complain about the quality of the food I did witness something that rubbed me wrong. A man came in. He had ridden his bike up there. It was about an hour before closing and the man said he was hungry and that he was starting a new job next week but he was starving and just was looking for any food they may be throwing out and offered to help out in exchange. The manager told him he couldn't help him and the man left. I watched as the man made it next door to Arby's with the intent of stopping him so I could purchase a meal for him. Thankfully the people at Arby's made sure the man was fed. I get it people scam and beg all the time but this man was truly just hungry and looking for something to eat. You know these restaurants have a ton of food that goes to waste at the close of the night so they could of done something for him. On top of that my only other complaint was that the only TV in the lobby was on the Spanish channel. The only Spanish speakers here were the employees. You would think the TV would be for the guest and not the employees but the way they treated another human being who was hungry I am not surprised. This guy could of been out there stealing and robbing to eat bit instead reached out hoping that he would get some compassion from Popeye's, which he got looked at with disdain and contempt. Good people go through bad/hard times too! Remeber you could one day be in a similar situation and would...
Read moreUPDATE: This Popeyes used to be great, but now it seems to have slid down to unacceptable. The last few times I've gotten food here, something was wrong. I get it; it happens. Today, however, I just spent almost $10 on COLD (not even lukewarm) fries and a spicey chkn sandwich with no pickles that was just chicken slathered on both sides with an enormous amount of mayonnaise and a bun. WTH?! They were not even busy! I was the only car in the drive thru, and the restaurant had only been open for an hour. I cannot fathom how a person could mistake the word "spicey" with gobs of mayonnaise? Especially when the spicey chicken sandwich is their most popular food item. Honestly, the quality control here is reaching the bottom of the mayonnaise barrel. Ugh 🤮
This is the best Popeyes in the area. I have always gotten quality food and great service from this location. The other Popeyes locations around here are hit or miss as to whether the chicken will be hard as a dog chew, the drive thru line wraped around the building will take 20 minutes just to reach a broken speaker box, and/or what I ordered looking nothing like what I got. At the Corinth Popeyes, I never have to worry if I am spending my hard-earned money on food that will be inedible. The folks working there are...
