Clothes: You can get good deals if you get the 50% off which is usually running when we are here every September. Could be all summer, I'm not sure. The fabric on most of the clothes is about 50% lighter than what you get at normal department stores. Be SURE to check all the stitching before you leave because many times you will find flaws and need to get something different. There styles are unique to OBX. You get what you pay for. The stores are everywhere.

Staff: They do what you ask, but that's it. Most of them are European and have the "I don't give an F" attitude. Barely say a word to you and usually never say thanks. They act like they are doing you a favor just acknowledging you. One exception is one non-European girl that works at 818 Ocean Trail that wears a ball cap. . . she's nice to customers. The rest suck.

Returns: I had to exchange a garment because the stitching was bad. They let me walk in and get another without issue. Of course they only response I got from the cashier when I went back with the exchange was "You want a bag?" No thanks . . .but you have...

Although this store does indeed sell quite a few nice products for low prices, I personally would never purchase from here. Upon walking into the store for the first time, my cousin (who is much younger than me) screamed "Oh hermit crabs!", and walked over to the cage. I was absolutely appalled by how these crabs are kept. There are 45-60 crabs in one small enclosure, a similar size to the one I kept two in for a year or so before getting a bigger cage because it wouldn't fit them. On top of that, there is a huge chance that they are all slowly suffocating, because hermit crabs' gills need an environment with high humidity to function, and there was not nearly enough water in the cages. Additionally, their shells are all painted, which is extremely unnatural and oftentimes the paint can harm the crabs. Overall, although they have good products, I morally cannot buy...

I was recently in Kitty Hawk and went to this place and spent a lot of money . I got home to Dallas Texas and looked online thinking I could buy some more items and have it shipped and noticed they don’t have shopping online . What ? Why? Omg I literally could not Buy anymore and take it in the plane with me. Why would a business in the year 2022 not have an online website to order from. Well guess I won’t be spending anymore after all.
