I owe a huge thank you to Patrick Neville from BoxDrop Corpus Christi. My wife and I hate mattress shopping. HATE it. We went to a few furniture outlets and had the same experience - a salesman practically tackling you as soon as you walk in, showing you the most expensive mattresses right off the bat without letting you compare the more economical choices, giving you little time to consider options before pressuring you into a sale. Our experience with Patrick was very different. He was very friendly and EXTREMELY knowledgeable about his products and payment options. He took his time and showed us everything we asked, from lowest priced all the way up. He gave my wife and I time to discuss the differences in quality and price. He understood and happily obliged when we asked to have a day to consider our options. When we finally picked our mattress, Patrick guided us through the paperwork, explaining each aspect of it so we knew what to expect. We love the mattress we picked and can't wait to sleep on it! I called in the morning inquiring about a bed frame. The person I talked to said that they have queen bed frames, a floor model for $50 or a boxed one for $70. Great, I communicated that I would be there later that afternoon after getting off work. I go into the store later that same day and told the person working at that time about the conversation I’d had over the phone and the price I was quoted. The gentleman very politely pointed to his clipboard and showed me that the price for a boxed bed frame was actually $80 and didn’t come out and say it but heavily insinuated that he could not honor the price I had been given earlier that day. No big deal, I was in a hurry and took my bed frame home. Upon actually looking at what a bought, I see that this is a frame for beds sized twin to California King!! Why am I having to pay the special queen size price if there’s literally nothing different between it and the twin frame. I could understand if it came with additional pieces, but it didn’t. Yea worst experience I ever had buying anything. Went with my mom's to get a mattress. Guy didn't explain the delivery process other than saying it's third party. No it's a guy with a pick up truck. They strap it to a pick up and drop it off. I just wanted a pillow top from out of a box truck. They guy wouldn't cancel our order unless I drag i my elderly mother up there because we used her card for the transaction. She had to go to the hospital for stress later that day and had a heart attack. Stay away from Lou or whatever his name is. Got the worse attitude I ever seen outta someone who sells anything when I explained to him not the situation I was looking for with a mattress. Said he didn't have to listen to me. She has to go up there and cancel. People just need to stay away from here. Low quality experience to say the least. Oh yeah and the delivery guy was in another state when he called me on the phone.
