The Texan — Restaurant in Corpus Christi

The Valet took really good care of our Maserati. They had our reserved table ready and every one there was so polite. The drink specials were spot on with the right mix of flavors and varieties. The night time helicopter ride arrived after we had finished our socializing with the locals which was just the best. We hope to have our new sail boat christening there if the owners are up to it. We really love this annual visit. Follow up: Love what they did with the hardtop. Not as many divots as Jim puts on the golf course!! Caroline from Ukraine said this place rivals the most exclusive water holes back home!!! I think my sister mentioned having her marriage reception there with black swans floating...

Love this bar, it's one of the only two I really care to go to in corpus. It's not a trendy or upscale tavern, it's a bar where everyone who walks in and knows how to act is welcome. Occasional rock bands play on weekends, other than that it's never really crowded, but there's always a good crowd :-) Best patio in town, with a large BBQ pit where anyone can come responsibly cook on, they might even supply some lighter and foil if you look like you know what you're doing, and brought enough to share... did I mention there's a zero tolerance for drama?...

This place has a great atmosphere, 2 pool tables, a shuffle board, a jukebox that connect to your phone, and a poker game machine. They have some of the coolest bartenders and are now serving BarbQ! The smell breaks me everytime, I end up ordering the pulled pork sandwich! Also they have one of the best bloody Marys around! Like I'm not kidding! I'm a bloody Mary girl an have been looking for the best in corpus Christi and I have to sayyyy... I think I have found it here at the Texan! They have IPA beer and let's not forget to mention they have...
