Thomas Malvino (Store Owner) is the rudest person!

I visited Thomas Malvino’s store to buy a tuxedo for my wedding, wanting to support a local business as a Marin native. I went with my parents, excited to try on tuxedos for the first time. Andrew, a helpful employee, assisted me with measurements and suit jackets. While I was being measured, Thomas, the owner, approached my mother and rudely told her she should go to Macy’s, implying that this store was not Macy’s. My mother, who speaks little English, initially thought he was joking and complimented the store in her broken English, saying it had better quality suits.

I continued trying on suits and found one I liked, but then my mother told me that Thomas had been extremely rude, saying if we weren’t buying anything, we should leave. I was skeptical at first, thinking she misunderstood, but my sister confirmed Thomas's rude comments. I decided not to give my business to such a rude store owner. When I told Andrew I was going to keep shopping around, Thomas, in a condescending tone, said, “Of course you are.” He wouldn’t even make eye contact with me and continued, saying, “If you’re not going to buy anything, why did you people even come into the store?” Rather than making a scene, I shook Andrew’s hand, thanked him for his help, but made it clear I wouldn’t be purchasing a tux from this store due to...

Probably the RUDEST sales people (or owners?? Hoping owners wouldn’t act like this?!) we could ever come across… I wish I could give them zero stars. Came in because my brother is interested in getting a suit for his wedding. They made fun of his wedding venue and they made fun of the color suit he was interested in and totally belittled him. Please don’t shop here, there are so many awesome apparel shops to spend your money at where the staff will actually care about their customers.
