I called to order a white flower boutonniere for my husband for our wedding day and was quoted $30, then asked for payment. Before paying, I asked what all comes with the boutonniere and I was told it would be white flowers with a ribbon. When I asked if I could remove the ribbon, the quoted price dropped to $15. I didn't appreciate that they weren't going to tell me that including a ribbon would change the price by $15, but I was glad I asked before paying over the phone.
A week later on my wedding day, I had an issue with the flowers I ordered to the venue 30 minutes away in Monroe, so I called the shop to see if they could save the day 2 hours before they were set to close. My father-in-law was going to be stopping by the shop to pick up the boutonniere within the hour before heading to the venue, so I thought it was all falling into place. When I called, I calmly told them I wasn't picky and was looking for a medium-sized white bouquet for my wedding later that day to be picked up by a family member. The person I spoke with over the phone was clearly annoyed and told me if I couldn't be there in-person to pick out the flowers myself or send them a very clear picture of the specific flowers I wanted, then they "didn't feel comfortable moving forward with the ordering process over the phone, especially for a wedding." I had to ask for a method of contact to send them a picture to, but it felt like if I hadn't asked then they wouldn't have offered it to me.
My bridesmaids and hair stylist who was working on my hair at the time all had their mouths on the floor when they heard how the conversation went down. I was again disappointed, but not surprised by how my first interaction with them went. Instead, my bridesmaids jumped into action and made do with what we had.
To be fair, the boutonniere was great. But my experience with their customer service was the worst I've experienced. I know they likely didn't want to jump to help and not deliver 'a bride's vision,' but due to my situation I would have been happy with anything they could have put together. I parked in the lot in front of her and 4 other businesses stores to quickly conduct construction work in the road and leave. I understand it is a private lot, but there were other construction vehicles parked there for 6 hours total throughout the day - no on street parking at the time I was there due to traffic control. As soon as I pull into a spot (there were a handful of empty spots around me) she storms out of her store and asks if I’m shopping or for construction. I tell her I’m with construction and that I would be leaving shortly. Immediately, in an aggressive tone spouts, before I can say a word, “I demand you move your vehicle - this lot is for customers only - are you going to leave or do I need to call your higher ups to deal with this - don’t look at me that way”. I told her I understood her statements, and moved my vehicle promptly. Take a breath and calm yourself. 2. I was squinting, it was bright out. I can’t help how my face looks when I squint. 3. I understand I was in the wrong. I was going to move per your request either way, but I would appreciate you leave the attitude where you emerged from - politeness goes a long way. Though I do wonder why you singled me out specifically to move when other construction vehicles were in the lot far longer than I ever was, including another vehicle from my same organization? Read moreExtremely disappointed I chose to use their business. I selected a same-day delivery, and got an email confirmation that it would be delivered. I was unable to check my email again after that since I was working, and they had sent me another email asking me if they could make something else because they were "out of those flowers." Well, I was unable to respond, and I never got a phone call even though they had my phone number. This was on a Saturday, and it was clear that it was for a birthday TODAY, and no additional contact to confirm or problem solve, and they are closed on Sundays. They use an answering service for their phone number, so I am not able to even leave a VM, or speak to anyone. I ended up having to call her and explain the situation, and she actually said she got them, but it looked nothing like it should have (because they were out of the flowers I ordered.)
