I came to COS late in the evening to check out one of the beauty stores near Bloomingdale’s and figured I’d top off my EV at the Shell Recharge station while I browsed. The chargers say “available 24/7”—but apparently, that only applies if you work at the mall.
Within minutes of plugging in, security rolled up and started acting like I was doing something wrong, even though there’s zero signage saying you can’t charge at night. Then they called the police on me. Yes, for charging. The officers showed up, ran my plates, asked for ID, and said I’d be cited for trespassing if I didn’t leave. No warning, no explanation. Just pure intimidation.
What makes it worse is that mall employees are allowed to plug in overnight and leave their cars parked well into the morning, blocking the chargers when the public actually needs them. It’s like the whole system is rigged to make sure regular people don’t get to use what we paid for.
Because yes—these chargers are free thanks to California taxpayers. Public programs and energy initiatives made these installations possible. But now X is treating them like private perks, using security and police to kick out the public and protect their own staff’s access.
If you happen to have any kind of warrant—even something minor—charging here could turn into an arrest, just because you stopped to shop and plug in. It’s not just shady—it feels like a setup.
Until they fix this mess, avoid these chargers completely, and maybe think twice about supporting businesses that allow this kind of thing to happen just outside their doors.
This review will be deleted when the scheme ends and fair public access...
Read moreThis is not a customer friendly store especially their managers ( supervisors) instead of trying to attract more customers, one specific supervisor (EDWIN) couldn’t do better to get rid of long time customers with his very unfriendly behavior. I was a client of COS in Spain when they didn’t have a store in South Coast Plaza. So when they opened the place, now I shop when I’m in Europe and in US. This supervisor (EDWIN) was not helpful for a very simple ( keep your customer happy for keeping their business) exchange and proudly told me he would not do a one time exception. Now you can figure it out why I would never shop this brand. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVIE. This has nothing to do with the store. It’s their online...
Read moreI came to COS with my sister and my mother to show them the brand. I was impressed with the material and the way the products were made. Lam Bui was the sale person that helped us. My sister couldn’t decide between the two pairs of shoes so we just asked him for his opinions. He was amazing at helping us decide which one for her pick. she was VERY HAPPY with her decision. I appreciate the customer service that was giving to my sister on that day. I thought he provided an excellent customer service and I would like his bosses to know how much we...
