My mom and i enjoyed our food, however colored and lgbtq citizens beware they will try to make experience terrible. They don't care if you have money they do not like colored people coming in there. everything was great until the end. we paid with a gift card that had $200 dollars on it. the waiter was a blonde girl really nice however the manager HEATHER came back to us to say " the gift card is invalid". i was given the card because they messed up my graduation dinner december 16 2023. since they messed it up , the manager on duty gave me a $200 gift card. we were confused because we never used the card so how is it invalid. our waiter didn't give us the bill, a manger came back to hand us our bill and that's when she states it's invalid. the manager stated "do you have the receipt that this came from". lol who keeps a receipt for a gift card for that long. I was given a gift card December 16 2023, it is now december 26 2024 . we asked our waitress BEFORE we order to check to see how much money is left on the card, even tho we knew already, we wanted to make sure. blonde waitress came back and stated $200 is left on the card. so she scanned the gift card and saw the price of $200, which contradicts what Heather is stating when she scans the card and it says invalid. someone is lieing, and why wait until after we are done eating to tell us the card is invalid when we were told it had $200 left on the card before we ordered our food. when she came back to state " the card was invalid" my mother politely asked her to "step away from us" and to get another manager. i guess she felt that mom stating step away was rude and she then says loudly to bring attention to the table " excuse me but you will not talk to me in that way" 😂😂😂 like lady your mad that you lied and try to cheat us. my mom was very polite and did not raise her voice once at heather ....we did not want to bring attention to ourselves . my mother also stated " the card being invalid Is not our problem we were told there's money on the card, speak to your associate about what happened... my mother wanted heather to speak to the waitress in the back about happen and not infront of us to cause a seen. after that she walks away within five minutes the manager comes back and stated that everything is cleared and that the food was paid for 🫥🫥 no apology, from Heather however, my mom was not buying it, and asked to speak to another manager on duty. At the end of the day we were still racially profiled in the manager wanted to have a pay. She thought that black people could not have a gift card sor we found that gift card from somewhere. the waitress should have never stated that the card had $200 on it when at the end of our dinner HEATHER tells us the card isnt valid, that does not make any sense. the ending caused embarrassment and humiliation for me and my mom! she direct us to the other manager but she was in a host position. It was a pregnant brunette lady, The pregnant lady apologized to me and my mother . and stated She does not know why heather stated to us the word "invalid". I want to reiterate, the reason i got the gift card TO BEGIN WITh is because they did the same racial things on my graduation day December 16th 2023. i had a party of 9 people including me, messing up orders, putting stuff on the bill that we never ordered. ordered lunch but was charged dinner prices . literally the blonde waitress ( déjà vu she was our waiter both times lol) had to take our bill back multiple times just to fix their mistakes. the manager on duty was so apologetic he gave me a $200 dollar gift card and now today they turn around and on december 26 when i'm trying to use the gift card they gave me , they do more discriminatory things to me and my family just for using the gift card. there are better steak houses in the area. OMG!!!! This is the most fantastic place in Orange County to eat and or celebrate an occasion. My boyfriend surprised me on August 12th, when he secretly made reservations to celebrate my 56th birthday. And WOW was I in for a very surpising special evening of dinner, wine tasting incredible food, outrageous dessert's and being treated like family and like royalty! First off, we had to take an elevator to the second floor and when we checked in, they all wished me a very happy birthday and sat us at our table with a window seat. When we got to our table there was this beautiful shiny colorful confetti all over the table and a bithday card too. Then the most wonderful experience of my life begin! There were a multitude of waiters for different things, one for our drinks, one for our menus, and one of the most wonderful knowledgeable waiter for our food and wine tasting adventure. And an adventure it was. For $28.00 you can each try seven different wines from rose', to chardenays and finally the reds and a real treat with one wine that's especially created for Capital Grill and not even available to the public yet. What a great experience. And our waiter was so knowledgeable in the seven variaties of wines we were ready to taste and experience the many flavors and different notes in each wine taste. Then they came to take our food order and I must say, this is where I felt like royalty again. And little did I know that this would be the most wonderful experience of my life in ordering our dinner, and an even more outrageous experience of tasting it when it was brought to our table. I couldn't decide what I wanted, so the waiter asked if we wanted to hear a few suggestions and of course we said yes. So the journey begins as he tells us a few recommend dishes and then he blew my mind when he said the one I immediately chose. This one wasn't even on the menu. Filet Mignon with bone in, WHAt!!? I never heard of that I said. Yes Filet Mignon bone in. Ok I'll have that, I said, as he continues to add to this wonderful experience, it also come with a Lobster Tail and two side dishes of your choice and we chose, creamed spinach and potatoes agrauten and because I wanted my Filet Mignon cooked medium well, the waiter proceeded to explain the cooking process and to get it exactly how I liked it cooked, could they have my permission to butterfly cut it so that it would be cooked to perfection for me and of course I said yes. And we finished ordering, my boyfriend ordered the Porterhouse Steak. Then another waiter comes out with a beautiful basket of assorted breads, and a small plate of yummy butter. The pumpernickel with golden raisins was so very yummy, I can still taste it when I describe it. And then our wine tasting begin, two beautiful wine glasses set to our right and the experience continues, then three more wine glasses, and finally two more. Wow is all I could keep saying. An experience of a lifetime for me that I will never ever forget. Oh but what I didn't know was this beautiful experience had only begun, as they serve us our dinner, I pick up the fork and knife and as the knife touches my Filet Mignon it just glides right through like it was softened butter I describe it to my boyfriend as liquid gold. It was so incredible, that every savoring bite gave me good bumps, literally!!!!💕 I felt so very incredibly special to have had my boyfriend think I'm worth this incredible...

One of the greatest steak restaurants and service of all time. I love steak and this is my go to place. They make you feel comfortable while you are here. The steak has always been on point and the mashed potatoes are some of the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever eaten. They have a great selection of food, I usually eat steak here but the seared tuna Ahi is also the best I’ve ever had. They give you three different sauces on the side to try with the tuna and they honestly are all good haha I can’t remember what ones they give you but they are absolutely phenomenal. This can be a great place to take a date, your boss, co-workers, friends, family or even just go eat and drink alone. They also have a few TV’s and it’s not over burdensome, it adds to the nice upscale vibe. I’ve also heard that the burger here is really really good, and I’ve heard that from multiple people. The salad here is also really damn good, it’s like a nice puffy mountain of greatness. Capital Grille is one of those place where you can NOT order a BAD thing. Like I don’t even like lobster but I bet I could eat lobster here haha anyways, nice bathrooms too, they don’t have that random guy in there giving you soap and all that jazz like they do at night clubs, which is totally fine, it has great amenities too. The service though is by far some of the best. I eat out a lot, like a lot a lot, almost every day because I hate cooking. I leave cooking to the professionals and they are certainly professionals here. If you’ve been debating on going here by now after this review you better go, what are you waiting for? Get up and put your phone down and just get a damn table here you won’t be disappointed. Also I would highly suggest getting whatever steak you like with the porcini rub and aged balsamic. Top 3 steaks I’ve ever had and yesterday I actually had steak for lunch and steak for dinner haha and in the picture here was steak for lunch and it was amazing. I’ve had the ribeye and the filet with the porcini rub and aged basil, both are top notch, they probably could charge more for how good it is and I would still pay it, like I would pay double for what it’s listed as and still be happy, it’s that good, it will change your life and make you question everything, like have I even been eating foot my whole life before this steak?
