SEPHORA — Local services in Costa Mesa

I'm not really a makeup person but thankfully Sephora isn't all about makeup. They've got all kinds cool stuff like perfume, skincare, and nail polish which is more my thing and when I do want to dabble in the makeup world, I can come and play here.

I spend so much time here that I've even got a Beauty Insider card which I can add to my PassBook. They also have an iPhone app. I like stores that are tech savvy. I also love that I can check out at any time with one of their associates because they all have a Square card reader like device attached their phones.

I came here to redeem my birthday freebie and to also get a lip exfoliant. Every major brand has one but I was able to find one that I liked from Fresh that was all natural and organic. The sales associate was kind enough to point out the different ones and help me make a decision. Now thanks to her, I no longer have dry chapped lips which is often an occurrence during Winter.

This is a pretty big Sephora located near Bloomies and has several products. Customer service is also friendly. I'll be back for...

Giving this Sephora 5 stars because of Lyla’s customer service yesterday (May 3). I didn’t realize I walked into Sephora around 10 minutes before closing because I saw customers in the store still and I forgot they close at 8 instead of 9 PM until the doors were closed a few minutes later. Lyla still helped me find my shade for 3 different products and answered all of my questions. She didn’t rush me at all despite them closing very soon after and when I was still in the store at 8 PM (without realizing until I saw the doors closed). I genuinely appreciated her help. Also, a different worker was leaving the store at the same time I was (her shift ended) and we were walking in opposite directions, but she still greeted me a good/nice night, which honestly took me by surprise because I didn’t have any interactions prior and we were already walking in different directions. Me and my girlfriend went shopping to this beauty supply store and we had a terrible experience. We were looking at the eyebrows area and this girl name Colombia gave us an attitude about not touching the tester. We explain we didnt know and she gave us very bad attitude very unprofessional and i stated it seems like you have an attitude and she said "yes i do!" The manager approached us after seeing the unprofessional behavior and apologize and ring us up. We had to stop our shopping, the sales colombia came up to the cashier and stared us in the eye and the manager said i am so sorry and had to ask her not to come near the cashier anymore. The look in her eye seem so angery and felt unsafe. Hopefully this review helps you guys. Definitely not coming back...
