Stotts Atelier — Local services in Costa Mesa

I've been to this salon several times and except the first time, I always left disappointed. Yet, I came back again and again hoping that we will work things out. I was simply asking partial highlights avoiding brass tones. Last time I was there, she did a horrible job like disaster. I was promised to be fix my hair few days after. And I found out that they refunded my money the day after. No talking, no apologizing, nothing.

This situation literally affected me mentally. I couldn't processed about what happened for few days. Blocking me completely from the Stotts Atelier website is not cool and definitely not professional!! I'm unable to book anybody there. Who does that?? What kind of hair salon is that? Obviously, the owner was also aware of this situation. You guys blocked me before talking to me. You did not even bother to give an explanation until I called.

I simply asked for no orange, brass tones, yet Michelle weren't able to deliver many times. She said I don't see it, that is the problem! She said the light is pretty harsh, your hair is wet, it's been a while etc etc. She could have just said we will fix this, no problem. LOOK AT THESE PICTURES!! How can you not see it? These pictures were taken the next day. I had to use this hair for my daughter's birthday party!!

This was never about the money, never. I wish she simply told me you need this or that. She made me feel guilty asking for what I want the whole time, every time i was there. I enjoyed her company but she didn't handle it professionally when i asked something about my hair and her whole attitude changed. Hair cut was also unprofessional, nothing special. Stop and look at these pictures again...

This salon is such a gem. From walking in the door you are immediately greeted with the most chic decor and the best kind of vibe. I came in for a cut and balayage by Lauren and she is absolutely amazing. She is a true artist and turned my blank canvas (plain dark brown hair) into a beautiful dimensional warm color; lighter brown mixed with the dark for a fall look.

With a service such as a cut and color, especially something like balayage all my girls know, that takes a long time. It can be boring to just sit there for 3-4 hours, but it was such a vibe that I didn't realize how long I was there.

I came out of the salon feeling like 10/10 and I would give this place 10 stars if I could.
