I went to Target to pick up my Drive up order. I forgot to order two things. The app would not let me get out of pick up when I stated I was on my way and could not add to my order. I asked the guy working drive up on 1/3/23 at 6pm at night if I order right now do I really have two hours, he said yes the system is centralized. He definitely did not go the extra mile or do me any favors so that I didnāt have to double back. I tested positive for COVID19 and did not want to go into the store part of drive up being created was for that purpose. I am extremely dismayed by Targets lack of Customer Service and not up holding higher standards. I tried calling into the store to speak to a store manager and no one department picks up their phones, the only department that did is the CVS Pharmacy inside of target that is not apart of the store. CVS has higher standards and delivers better customer service. To my dismay CVS gave me the main store number and was told that, that is the only number Target Costa Mesa has allowed them to give out. Wow! There should be an option for a line available to talk with store management if a customer is trying to get a hold of one. Not to mention there should be another way for a customer to bypass waiting for another two hours because they forgot to order two items; especially if theyāre sick with an illness because they donāt feel comfortable entering a store when they are knowingly sick and are further preventing the spread of infection. I have a face mask and N95, regardless, I should have that option. If itās a system error Target Corporate is responsible and needs to fix it. Either way Target does not understand the definition of what going the extra mile/customer service excellence are and should probably educate themselves, management and staff on what that means and is for the customer service experience, since neither are put into practice here. There was an employee walking through the line handing out vouchers for a TV and we asked him about the $200 PlayStation 4 Spiderman Bundle. He told us there was only a FEW in stock and he didn't have any vouchers. I understood and continued to wait in line. As the store opened, I asked another employee inside where I could find the the bundle and he told us there was a secret sale on the PlayStation bundle before Black Friday that was not advertised and that is when he bought his. Did all the Target employees buy all the PlayStation bundles before Black Friday and now there was none left when it was actually advertised?! Why did the employee walking outside with the vouchers LIE and say there was only a few left when the store was opened and there was NONE to begin with!!! So many other people in line were behind me for the sale and I can't believe Target would advertise a Doorbuster deal and not have any in-stock. I ended up going to GameStop afterwards and spending over $500 on their bundle with extra games. That is $500 I was willing to spend at Target after getting extra games and accessories.
