I try very hard to not complain about businesses online, but I am beyond irate.
When we arrived, our bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned (dirty shower faucet/handles etc). I chose to dismiss it and get on with life.
The breakfast the next morning had waffles, wonder bread to toast, and danishes. Oh and coffee or water. I have never seen a more pathetic "continental breakfast" in my life. Still, at least there was something to eat, so I didn't say anything.
Then...we have an infant with us, who had a slight accident through their diaper onto the bedsheets, so we put the maid service sign on the door before venturing out that morning. When we came back around 2 PM, it was apparent that the maid had come by but only took the bedding off one of the beds, and then ran off. We called the front desk who -in an annoyed tone- said she would be back...she came back two hours later?? So much for getting our kids to take a nap... right as they did finally fall asleep, the maid came back... I still didn't complain.
So then, we are trying to decide if we will stay one more night despite the annoyances or go in to SF since we will have a very early flight to catch. I call to inquire about pricing for one more evening but in the course of events forget to call back and confirm.
When we realized our error a couple of hours past regular check-out time, the clerk at the desk is exceptionally rude and says something about maid service cleaning the room now. I wanted to go on a rant about, oh, NOW you want to clean the room??? But I don't, of course, because who knows what they might do with your belongings if you express your irritation at their unprofessional and terrible customer service.
I will say I will never come back here again, and this place is cheap for a reason! Don't come here unless you are willing to put up with a prima dona hotel desk worker who is always on her private phone and can't be bothered by the guests, with cleaning staff that take a century to clean, no remotely healthy food options... and did I mention the tv...
Read moreHey, you get what you pay for. If you just want to crash through the night and you don't care about watching like just live TV not being able to use your Roku and not really being able to get good Wi-Fi then it's okay.
I just needed a place to crash and a shower and the place where I could at least get Wi-Fi on my phone or at least get use my mobile data on my phone and watch movies that way not through the TV which is pretty bizarre.
And the people there aren't the best you know it's it's pretty sleazy but you give it to pay for if you want to cheap place this is it.
Update: visited recently 4/3/24 -4/5/24 and got a deal online for$65.50 a night (taxes included). My mistake was asking the front desk older man if I should take the$65 booking (taxes included) for a 3rd night or go through him. He said okay after haggling but it wasn't ok. I paid $80 after getting my receipt. I'll always go through a different company now and not them. Just as head's up if you're female. I doubt he would have done that to a male.
I was on the noisy side of the hotel (facing the gas station) but this time the WiFi worked well and I could use my Roku.
They have a dryer, nice, soft, fluffy pillows, ironing board, coat rack with hangers and coffee pot. Plenty of plug ins and storage drawers. And the comforter is comfortable!
I think only some rooms get the fridge/ freezer and microwave. Mine worked so well it froze half my items.
Cleanliness: I don't want to know what's on the carpet and my mirrors. Lol. The fridge/freezer, microwave, bathroom and vanity were...
Read more$450 a week is what they charge customers they like. $650 is what they charge people they think they can rip off. Rooms are moldy and stink like it. Internet is terrible. Other guests are loud and unruly at night and the front desk will not control the problem. The staff stole from one of my rooms when I was not present and it took 5 days and me recording their behavior on camera in order to get back my belongings.
In a separate string of events my disabled 68 year old father who has a concussion made a deal with with manager to pay him a little late until his workers compensation check arrived after being severely injured in a car accident during work. I tried to work things out with them from my own separate room that was fully paid for and just after we had an agreement worked out they called the police on my father. I brought my father back to my room and within just a few days he paid off his bill in full. So after that the manager orders us both on the do not rent list for both Budget inn and Rodeway Inn.
I have never missed a payment and have always been extremely calm and courteous and even was the driving force behind ensuring my father paid them the money owed and as a thank you they kicked me out on the streets with two hours notice.
These people are monsters and have no sympathy for anyone. They deserve to go out of buisness. Stay...
