Had the privilege of attending this church on 2/11/24 and enjoyed it. My wife and I travel around looking for churches who are military and first responder friendly, and here's our review of VVCC: Pro's - Sanctuary was well organized, clean, and peaceful. Everyone seemed to be quite friendly without appearing cliquish. We sat towards the front, so we didn't get to experience what the back of the church was like. From where we were sitting there didn't seem to be any distractions. We felt safe and welcome. There were a lot of opportunities to plug in, a bunch of activities, etc. The Pastor was cool, calm, and collected. The praise and worship band played modern Christian church music.
Con's - The Pastor seemed to be more of an educator than a preacher, which is good if you're new to the faith and want to learn. The specific message was spun around recruiting more children workers, which I can appreciate. We all need to invest in the next generation! Unfortunately, we weren't stimulated, convicted, or educated by his message. That doesn't mean others weren't either though. The praise and worship team appeared to be holding back. I confirmed this with a source before putting together this review and was told that the first service is normally that way for the older generation (which I definitely appreciate and value - this should actually be a Pro, but it was a Con for me because my current spiritual walk is about being adventurous and excited).
At the end of the day, we give VVCC a 5-Star. It felt safe, friendly, and respectful. There were no unnecessary distractions and things ran very smoothly. We understand that some anomalies may exist and always recommend you checking things out for yourself. If your first visit doesn't go well, try attending two more times before making a...
Read moreThis place is incredible! When I walked in here, I could tell that there's a lot of dedicated people investing their time into this church so that it could be successful. From the sandwich boards out on the street, to the parking lot greeter, to the door greeter, to the sanctuary greeter, and to the hot pot of coffee and assortment of snacks—this place has a lot of love pouring out from it. I've already been here a few times, and the Message is Bible-based and delivered with a salted tongue. Great children's ministry, too! Can't forget the children's...
Read moreI love this church. We visited one time after finding them on Facebook. We've attended ever since and that was almost four years ago. The music is top notch and current. The teaching is direct, but presented in a loving way. They have a great kids program. The church is full of sweet folks who welcome everyone with open arms. The age range is very broad and there is something for everyone. Snacks and coffee are provided at the beginning and end of every service. There are three services every Sunday at 8am,...
