I will NEVER go into this store again as long as Jacob is Manager.
I went in to put an insurance claim on my Z4 I'd had since July. Jacob quickly said I was able to upgrade. Which I thought was odd being I'd only had it for a couple months. He took my $1,800 Samsung Z4 and handed me an S23. I was told it was equivalent in price and performance as my Z4. After 20 minutes Jacob picked up the S23 set it back down and said "it's done! Your good to go" I learned alot from this purchase. JACOB was supposed to hand me my new phone, make sure everything has been properly transfered AND opening properly before leaving the store.
Recently I bought a replacement smartphone from Verizon online on a promotion. I initially thought I could handle activation on my own, but I live in a very rural area in Camp Verde with a weak phone signal and a weak Wi-Fi signal. After doing some research and talking to a Verizon rep on the phone, I realized it was not a good idea to try to activate the phone myself, so I called the Verizon store on Main Street in Cottonwood. I explained the circumstances to them and they kindly offered to activate the phone for me---no questions asked.
When I took the phone into the store, I was greeted by a nice young man named Ashton. He was extremely courteous, attentive, and helpful. It was immediately obvious that he was an expert regarding the activation process and smartphones in general. Because I had purchased the phone online and then was trying to get it activated in a store, it created some technical issues with Verizon that Ashton had to patiently work through---spending well over an hour on the phone with Verizon reps to get it all resolved. In any case Ashton was fantastic in every way and got the phone up and running.
While waiting for Ashton to patiently work through the steps needed to get the phone activated, I had time to sit back and watch other store representatives working with other customers. It was kind of fun actually. I think I'll go in there and hang out (kidding!). I was very impressed with the way all the store reps handled their customers. I did not witness any hard selling tactics going on---only a willingness by the store reps to help people out and resolve their problems.
In any case, I would highly recommend this store to purchase your next Verizon phone. Hopefully I won't need a new phone for a while, but if I do need one, I will definitely purchase it...
Read moreJakob Chapman assisted my husband and me. We walked into inquire about a mobile Hotspot and walked out with 2 new phones and a tablet and completely satisfied. Jakob was very knowledgeable and wad patient as he answered all of our questions! UPDATE 12/9/2023 5 months later and we are completely DISSATISFIED with Verizon. We traded in our prior phones and per the agreement there would be a charge and credit of the charge for the phone on our monthly bill. When we called the first month to inquire about the reversal/credit of the charge we were told they only showed receipt of one of the phones. Had to call the store multiple times bcz they didn't have the ability to track down the carrier tracking number to confirm the phones were returned. Thus far we have had to call Verizon every month and spend HOURS speaking with Verizon "customer service" to have the charge for the phones reversed. Additionally, part of the agreement we signed included unlimited hotspot data which Verizon has now begun charging for on our monthly bills. We don't know if/what the store could do to assist or if they did something wrong but if we had it to do again, we would not have gotten new phones or signed an agreement for Verizon because it's been nothing but frustrating and a time suck making sure we don't get charged...
