Wanted to share my latest experience with our local furniture store.
In September 2021 we bought a SoCozy couch from them with two of the 3 chair sections having recliner/ massage/ heat etc. It had a one year warranty.
Within a few months a remote on one of the chair sections failed. They ordered us a new remote under warranty.
A few months later that remote partially failed - but it still reclined so we just lived with it for a while.
Fast forward to November 2022 - the remote completely quit working and now the warranty was over. And very unfortunately for us, the recliner was stuck in the 'out' position.
I called the store and explained the story and what was happening along with a request to replace the control unit since it was having ongoing remote control issues. They said yes it was out of warranty but they'll do anything they can to help.
They called me back very quickly and said parts were on their way. A few weeks later we got the remote and the controller unit. Unfortunately the recliner portion still didn't work even though the rest of it did. So another call over to Home Furnishings Direct.
Again they came through for us with parts on the way.
Yesterday they replaced the recliner mechanism for us and it worked! Now our couch is 100 percent again (first time in months! ).
To be honest I did not expect a fix for no charge on this because it was out of warranty. But they did fix it for us for only a signature.
So a serious kudos and THANK YOU to the people at HFD for their professionalism, speed of service, and complete willingness to take care of our issue especiallywhen it was no longer under warranty.
You guys are amazing and we will be back for as long as you keep giving us this type of service. Thank you!!

   Read moreOVER PRICED CRAP AND BAD SERVICE! I bought a couch set and dinning room table from them. I spent over $2000 for the both of them. I never got the full parts for my chairs and the table was cracked. I spent 3 months trying to get them to fix the table problem. During those 3 months my couches went flat and looked like I had them for years. I called them and told them what happened after fighting with them they sent me a new set in a different style and had me pay more money for delivery because I lived in Buckeye. They knew I lived in Buckeye when I bought the set. The new set they sent me looks like I have had for years now. I have had it for 9 months. The color has faded. I have has it cleaned twice and it still looks use and nasty. When they delivered the couches they banged them up and were very unprofessional. I just called them today 01/03/17 and told them what was going on they said they would call me back after they looked into it. The manager called me back and told me that I can bring the couches to his store and he fix them or I can call Ashley and have them deal with it. I told him I feel that the place I bought it from should have to take care of such things. I told him about my past experience with the store and he got very rude with me.    Read moreI paid premium price for 4 sofas and 2 arm chairs at this place bc I wanted to make sure the sofas and chairs would be comfortable. The chairs that arrived were fine - comfortable as those sampled in the store. Sadly, most of the sofas that were delivered didn't use the same foam as the ones that were sampled in the store.
In fact one of the four sofas was inconsistent. So firm on one side it felt like sitting on hardwood (it actually hurt to sit on). Plush on the other - like those we sampled in the store.
When my mom brought both the cushions back the store to show the inconsistency. The salesman lied and said it will get more comfortable with time.
A little about me. I do furnished rentals. That's why we purchased SO much furniture. Over the years, I've had a lot of sofas made - custom. The showroom in a custom shop will often allow you select the type of foam you want for your sofa. In all my years I have NEVER encountered any foam THIS HARD.
I had hoped we would be able to switch out one of the cushions with ones in the showroom, but it appears someone else had already beat us to it. Both in the showroom are hard as wood.
Given this issue. I'm advising you to purchase elsewhere! This store isn't holding their manufacturers accountable for cheap choices.
