My experience working at this Starbucks location was deeply disappointing and, at times, distressing. Over the course of a year, the store cycled through four managers and two complete teams of employees—a clear sign of instability and poor leadership. The work environment was dominated by favoritism, exclusionary behavior, and interpersonal manipulation. Long-term baristas often fabricated claims to push out team members they didn’t personally approve of, creating a hostile and divisive atmosphere.
The assistant manager routinely misrepresented situations to upper management in order to target specific employees, and complaints were not handled professionally. When I raised concerns with the district manager, no meaningful action was taken, which only reinforced the lack of accountability at every level of leadership.
Team members were routinely expected to perform the work of multiple roles without adequate compensation or support. The culture was toxic, and the emotional toll of constant interpersonal conflict and unrealistic expectations was significant.
Additionally, the store faced a rodent infestation earlier this year. Despite visible contamination—including droppings on food prep surfaces—the store was only closed for a single day. This raises serious concerns about sanitation and food safety practices.
Customer service also suffered under poor management. The assistant manager was frequently dismissive toward guests, and the overall leadership failed to foster a respectful or functional team dynamic.
I would not recommend this location for employment or patronage. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic hygiene standards makes it one of the most troubling workplaces I’ve...
Read moreWorst ever Starbucks experience at this location!!! There were about 10 cars ahead of us in the drive-thru line and it was moving at a snail’s pace. We waited in line for what felt like an eternity! Then when we finally get our food and coffees, I couldn’t believe the substandard items we were given. I’m not exaggerating when I say my large coffee drink was filled to about 2 1/2 - 3 inches from the full line. I paid for a large drink but it had the contents of a medium drink. And I ordered the tomato-mozzarella-ciabatta sandwich that was mainly bread and a little slab of pesto, tiny amount of cheese and sun dried tomatoes only in the very center portion of the sandwich. At least 1 1/2 inches on either end of the sandwich were literally just bread!! And finally, (because this just keeps getting better).…we were charged sales tax for our food and drinks. I live in CA and have never paid sales tax at any of my local Starbucks locations. Ridiculous!! I would give this location zero stars if that were possible!! Horrible horrible horrible!! If we weren’t already driving down the freeway to head home when I realized the coffee wasn’t full or the food was a joke, we would have headed back to the store for a FULL REFUND. But sadly, we were too far away by the time I realized. So all I can say is that I will NEVER go back to...
Read moreOrdered three hot food items and three hot drinks with a Frappuccino. They made all the hot stuff, then made the Frappuccino but they forgot the Frappuccino in the blender. After exactly twenty minutes they realized they forgot it and then instead of remaking the melted Frappuccino they poured it into the cup and the barista put the whip cream canister into the drink and sprayed whip cream to try and make it not look melted and half full. Meanwhile all of my hot food and drinks sat for twenty minutes getting cold. Tried to reach out to the manager as this is a health code violation to put the whip cream tip into the customers drink and she offered a four dollar credit which doesn’t even account for the cost of the Frappuccino let alone all the cold food and drinks. Common decency would dictate to at least remake the Frappuccino that sat in the blender for twenty minutes. It would seem they just don’t care about quality nor...
