Walgreens — Local services in Council Bluffs

Rude pharmacy staff. I called on Monday to check on a prescription and they said they were out until Wednesday but they’d check the other 24 hour pharmacy. Never got a call back. I called today (Wednesday) to check on prescription and they said they are out and I asked the lady if she could check the other pharmacy and she came back and told me they “found one bottle enough to fill our script but our prescription was filled at the west broadway Walgreens” to call them and make sure it’s still on the shelf. I called them (also going to leave a review) and they said it was back at this Walgreens (east broadway) so I called back and told the man whet had happened and he tells me that my insurance said it was filled at the other one and they can’t fill it unless the other Walgreens cancels the script. He said he’d call and I was asking a question and he hangs up on me... very rude because I know he could hear me asking because I didn’t pause after saying ok to him stating he would need to call the...

I receive Western Unions every few weeks or so. I am on foot & the closest place to deal with Western Unions is this Walgreen's, though it's still 1 1/2 miles from my apartment. Over half the times I've visited, "something" wasn't working.. ie: Western Union itself, register being down so only able to send money.. not receive.. New employees having no idea what they're doing. Simple fixes, you'd think. Especially when the regional manager is there, like this evening. Why are things so difficult? Register is down..swap it out! Clueless personne.. train them! Troubles handling & maintaining simple everyday & mundane tasks?.. Review your hiring procedures & find someone halfway capable. I decided to trek to HyVee for lack of choices... When I get home I will have walked over 6 miles in 98° heat. Would do it again, weather needed or not, to avoid the inevitable....

I have never had such an unprofessional experience with a pharmacy. A woman that rang me out named Karen at the pharmacy is my boyfriend's ex-wife's family member. Not even 3 days later I got a message on Facebook from a fake account trying to start problems. There would be no way this person would know my name if if wasn't for Karen sharing my HIPAA protected information to my boyfriend's ex-wife. I will be following through to ensure this gets reported to the proper channels. However be very very careful as I feel my rights have been violated and my name and possibly my medication were shared with somebody I definitely did did not want to know that information.
