Food Depot — Local services in Covington

I am from California who has recently moved here. I decided to give Food Depot a try. I am very pleased with my shopping experience. The staff is very friendly to me and my kids. The prices are seriously from the 80s. It felt like I was 8 year's old again shopping with my parents. Amazing prices. The meat section is big. The fish is also very nice. Their produce is fresh and nothing rotten or stinky. I really hope this store stays the same. Dont change a thing.

What I enjoyed the most. They have one big isle with nothing but Hispanic choices. They even have big pots to make tamales and tortilla warmers. They even have mexican sweet bread. I also found central american sour cream. No other big chain store carry it. Im in awww with how amazing this store is. I also found tomatillos, habaneros, serranos, which walmart sells out from.

I only stop here because it is convenient. I've leaned its not a good place. I've purchased 4 packs of Butterball ground turkey from them. I went home to cook two packs and placed the other packs in the freezer. Soon as I opened the pack, it had a unpleasant sent to it. I called and talked with the mgr., he told me to discard the meat I've opened and bring back the other two packs. I went back the next day to replace the meat because the mgr. informed me a truck was coming in. Well customer service and another worker have given me a hard time, which we went back and forth...whereas, the meat mgr. immediately refunded my money without any resistance. I will be very caution when purchasing from...

I will never be back at this places again! Meats are so nasty looking . In the white boy that works in the meat department looked at me when I said it OK and your meats are nasty. Most all their meats are dark brown like really throw it away. They’re gonna make people sick… and what gets me the 10% and plus the four dollars or something on the food that is ridiculous and you don’t even get a lot for the price that you spend. I spent 159 on what I did not even get a buggy cart full what I’m saying I’ll just keep shopping at Walmart or Kroger but I thought I’ll get food Depot another try but I’m still not happy still nasty.
