I was so amazed walking into this store that I know it's new. however, I have zero complaints. The store was bright, very VERY clean and organized. You can tell that the employees take pride in their jobs because of how the store looks. I've worked retail in the past, and being inside that store has made me consider filling out applications. I was on the search for ribbons to make ribbons roses for my daughter to give to her teacher for Valentines Day and the kindest employee heard me taking to my daughter about it and she kindly asked me what ribbon roses were so I told her about them and then showed her a TikTok video about how to make them. She then td me it was a beautiful gift to give to my daughters teacher and then pointed me to the direction of the aisle that the ribbons are on..the same employee helped .e find the wooden dowels I could cut up and get 3 stems for the roses,as well as telling me where to find the glitter. From the time I stepped foot thru the door, I was greeted immediately to walking thru the store and was helped in the kindest of ways.. this store changed my opinion on the store chain of Michael's. I had gone to a location years ago that left me with a bad impression in my mind, but this store in covington, I'll be back soon to do arts and craft and painting with my kids. I wonder if they do any painting party's or any sort of craft party for parents and kids once or twice a month where it's a certain fee for adults say $25 for adults and kid ages 13 and under are $15 to $20 which could cover the cost of the arts and crafts for that session? It would be a wonderful way to bring together the community and something new and exciting to do. I hope Michael's takes it into consideration. I'll be back soon. Maybe I'll even apply to work there . I always loved doing inventory, rotating stock, stocking shelves, etc. everything but...
Read moreIt's great having a new Michael's store in Covington. They have a tremendous selection of decorations and craft items, and the staff is helpful and friendly. However, if you have any sensitivity to fragrance (and we all do), you may wish to avoid the store. The overwhelming synthetic fragrance from some of the merchandise fills the air and is enough to trigger an asthma attack or headache. It permeates one's clothing and hair, causing them to reek, even after being in the store for just a few minutes. I feel bad for the clerks; the air quality constitutes a health hazard. I'm not sure I'll be going in again, sadly, unless they discontinue the items causing...
