Soooooo disappointed! I went into the shop to order specifically what I wanted instead of online or just calling wanted to support a small local business I even showed several pictures and stated several times NO Lilies! Guess what?! There were AT LEAST 5 lilies in the arrangement! It wasn’t even full and there were open spots through the arrangement I specifically asked for it to be very full like a hand picked bouquet even showed the flowers I wanted in their refrigerated case I also said if it ended up costing more it was more important to have what I wanted than what it cost. I never call to complain but decided to because this was for one of my closest friends that had lost her mom unexpectedly I wanted something very special for her at their home I got a return call with an apology laced with “well you came in at the end of the day” and “I guess I forgot to type all the information in” also “I told you we didn’t have a lot of purple flowers” ( also a request ) instead of filling the arrangement with other flowers (especially ones I specifically said I didn't want) why wouldn’t you just add more of what I asked for? I still can’t believe the “excuses” that were made Just wanted to help a local small business especially with everything going on and so many businesses hurting and closing I won’t be using this...
Read moreDespite all the good reviews on here, we had a mixed experience with Jerry. He was the main florist that was contracted out of Pittsburgh Marriott North so we decided to go with him. Our initial meeting was great however afterwards was when it went down hill. Weeks prior to the wedding he kept emailing us asking for our final payment ASAP but would leave out the final amount owed and who to write the check to. He was also very hard to get in touch with. Then I sent him photos of what I wanted my bouquet to look like and it looked NOTHING like what I wanted. I actually hated it. The boutonnieres , bridesmaids, and centerpiece flowers were gorgeous. Exactly what I wanted. The Marriott had misplaced some of the flowers on the day of and we called him to ask him about it but it was later in the day. He never called back the next day or week to make sure we found them/were satisfied. He got his money so why follow up? He had told us many times he was super busy and some of that showed in his work. My mom's wrist corsage was falling apart before the ceremony as well as my flower girl's pomander. By the end of the night my mom had no flowers left on her wrist. Some aspects were great, some were not....
Read moreWe were a month away from my daughter’s wedding day (4/13/24) and sadly the florist that was partnered with our wedding venue passed away. We were scrambling to find a florist to accommodate and create the florals for my daughter’s wedding without any unexpected surprises. That was quite the experience, costs were doubled with some florists taking advantage of an uncontrollable situation. Thank God we found Flowers by Gerard! Danielle was very understanding of our situation and reassured that she would take care of everything and make every effort to keep cost the same. So my daughter and her then fiancé met with Flowers by Gerard’s designer, Pat, to share their vision, and they closed the deal. Not, only was the price still affordable, the flowers were so fresh and Absolutely Beautiful! Just Gorgeous! We were more than satisfied and as the Bride or my daughter says, “ The bouquets and floral arrangements were exactly what I envisioned!” We couldn’t be happier! Thank you Danielle and Flowers by Gerard for genuinely caring! For coming to our rescue! For your beautiful creations and bringing my daughter’s wedding day floral...
