There was barely room to stand anywhere, lines were a 20 minute wait even though you are paying for 2 hours of time. There was nowhere to sit but massage chairs that would literally go off in alarm to keep customers who aren’t paying for a massage off of them. That’s fine on days you had anywhere else but the floor to sit. What a joke. Not to mention the music was blaringly loud, and over top of it a rude employee was screaming in the mic at children for jumping two at a time on the trampolines because they were tired of waiting all their given time to jump. Another incident with the staff was a staff member rolling over a little child’s foot with a cart filled with Gatorade bottles and when the parent took the child away the staff member started laughing about it. We paid for our time there, and only spent about 30 minutes to do one or two things then got the hell out. We will never be back. The attractions have potential, but the space is too small for the amount of business you are doing. And your staff needs a lesson in manners and how to treat human beings.”
I copied this review because we were there at the same time it sounds like. We went to urban air today for my sons birthday party. We were very excited to go because we were there in October for my other sons birthday party and had a wonderful time. If this would’ve been my first time there it would’ve been my only time there. The lady with the microphone yelling at the kids in the trampoline area did not sound like she knew how to deal with children. I understand children can be wild and crazy at places like that. I understand they need to be told if they’re doing wrong so that everyone could be safe. However, her reaction and tone of voice would not get through to any child. My son and my nephew were pointed out by her and they were actually just standing there. They were trying to find a place to jump and there was another kid that was running around in front of them. This woman looks directly at my nephew and tells him that if she sees him jumping again in the spot with someone else he will not be allowed to jump anymore. She had him so scared to jump the rest of the party. I did not see a large sign that said only one person can jump in a square a time. It may have been on the smaller sign they have but if they want kids to follow this rule they need to have it large enough for the kids to see. There were also two boys that were monitoring the trampolines who never said a word to the kids.
Another complaint is the line for the zip line. I do understand that it was busy there today and that there is a wait when it is that busy. However, when the kids from our party are waiting at least 30 minutes to get on the zip line and I watch some lady go by twice on the zip line while my kids are still waiting I do have a problem with that. You should only be allowed to go on once and then you should have to go back down and get in line like everybody else so that everyone can have a turn. They ended up never getting to go on the zip line
Lastly I had to pay for a room upstairs because it showed that the tables downstairs were all booked. I saw 2 open tables with no party the entire time we were there.
I must say the only saving grace was our party host, Baylee. She was very nice and a fantastic host! She is a young girl who seemed to have a great head on her shoulders and knew how to do her job.
When paying $400 to have a party, I expect better service. I expect for the kids to get to do everything that we paid for...
Read moreNice concept but poor management! We went on a fairly busy week (between Christmas and New Years) which everyone expects to be busy except the management at Urban Air. At 10am opening, there was a mob of people in the lobby/check-in area with many "lines" and little direction, besides a manager standing on the front desk yelling at people where they should go.
We stood in 3 different "lines" to try and use our gift card until we were directed by the clueless front desk staff to the manager. She was rude and had an unapologetic attitude which was really upsetting to everyone waiting. We tried to explain that we weren't sure what line to go to when we came in but her response was, "What do you expect, it's a busy week, there's nothing I can do." After she fought with the gift card swipe machine, we finally got wristbands. Check-in took over 45 minutes!
The one good thing about this place is the amazing, under-staffed high school workers out on the floor doing their best to try and keep this place under control and safe. The management personnel have no idea what they are doing and have these poor high school kids trying to monitor several over-crowded areas at the same time with no supervisors helping. I saw one young worker harnessing people for the ropes course and zipline by herself, and she also had to monitor the entire ropes course for safety at the same time. She was fantastic at keeping it together and was friendly throughout. She had to quickly rescue kids several times stuck out on the ropes course and then come back to continue harnessing people. Every once in awhile another high school staff person came over and tried to make things more efficient because the wait was now over an hour for one ride on the zipline, but there wasn't much he could do. Where was management? Or any higher-up staff that could help these kids manage the crowds? These kids did the best they could for what they were given and were moving as fast as possible to keep the crowds calm as possible.
The staff was minimally trained. At the ninja course, the guy was running the entire area by himself and didn't know what the red and green buttons did. He said he thought they were some sort of timer for the course, but didn't think they worked. He said they never really told him what they were for. He was doing the best he could, trying to keep the over-crowded area of people from jumping and landing on each other and preventing serious injuries. There was also only one person split between watching the entire trampoline area and gladiator pit. He looked like a deer in the headlights trying to watch everything at once.
There was one person running seven different rock walls at once. We waited about 45 minutes for this area. It was a little longer than expected because there was no real line for it and people kept cutting or allowing their friends to cut in "line". I told the person running the area but there wasn't much he could do since he had to harness/unharness and monitor all 7 walls at the same time.
As we were leaving, we squeezed through the mob still trying to get in and could see the manager still there taking people's money. Management was completely oblivious to how their staff inside was struggling to maintain order.
This place needs NEW MANAGEMENT. If someone with a little bit of experience dealing with customers, staff, kids, or running a business stepped in and took over, this place would be really nice! But for now, we will not...
Read moreWe had gotten 2 free basic passes, so I called Saturday to ask what that included and then how much it would cost to upgrade to be able to do the zipline, I was told $7 each. We go on Sunday, and the girl at the front said it was $12 each to upgrade them. I don't think the price went up overnight, so that was frustrating, but we had driven 35 minutes to get there so I paid the extra $10.
We had our 1 and 2 year old with us, so I asked if there was anything for them to do, I was told there are areas for little ones and the cost is $14 each and $4 for socks. $36 for 2 toddlers seems excessive..most places like this are free for under 2. We had brought our older son and his friend, so we had to get the tickets or entertain 2 toddlers for 2 hours without letting them do anything, so we bought the tickets. We weren't told beforehand if we didn't purchase adult tickets, we couldn't go on the attractions with our toddlers. I got told to get off the trampoline because I didn't have the correct socks, which is understandable so I asked if I could stay on the yellow pads to watch my kids and was told yes. A half hour later, my kid's father was told by the same person he couldn't even be on the yellow pads without a pass. So if you bring your toddlers, it'll cost you $75 if you want to be able to supervise them..$75 for 2 toddlers to play for 2 hours is outrageous. And you have to be close to them, damn near the entire time we were keeping them from being run over by bigger kids. And while we kept getting talked to for supervising our kids, a group of about 7 teenagers were running through the little kids area and nothing was said by an employee. I had to say something and deal with their attitudes because why would they listen to someone that doesn't work there?
To sum it up, this is not a good place to take toddlers. Too many bigger kids running around unsupervised. It's also very expensive...you can get all day passes to an amusement park for...
