I like to provide reviews when we travel for not just the bad experiences, but also the good. I understand this is not a top of the line hotel, but a budget hotel, however I feel the problems we experienced were basic and not above expectation for any hotel. When we stay in a hotel, we are generally just there to sleep and shower, so clean and safe are the simple requirements. Very disappointed with this experience.
I visit the area frequently to visit my family. We have a hotel we normally stay at, but decided to go to a different hotel to save a little money. It was a mistake! Do not book at this hotel! It was very disappointing.
First, we arrived at the hotel at 12:00 AM to check in. We traveled and visited family before checking in. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk, the phone that was there to call for someone was broke, and required you to use your personal phone, and there were 3 other people waiting to check in. The gentleman that arrived was very nice. He checked us is after a wait. As we were waiting in the lobby, taking the elevator to our room and in the hallway, the entire area smelled heavily of weed. We went to our room, the stove was filthy, like something was burned and not cleaned, there was "stuff" on the wall near the kitchen that was not cleaned, the floors were sticky and the towels were dirty. The light by the bed did not have a lightbulb and the TV did not work. It was late, so we figured we would get everything fixed in the AM, assuming the desk would be opened.
We booked (2) rooms at this hotel one for us and one for my daughter. We received (2) confirmations, and were charged for 2 rooms, however, when my daughter went to check in, they did not have a reservation. They did provide a room for her that she had to pay additional for. When she went to the floor it smelled like spoiled food. The ceiling in her room was black near the stove, the stove and room were dirty, and the walls were marked up. The one bed looked like it was not clean. They called the hotel and could not find anyone to help.
The 2nd morning, we went to our families house and my daughter checked out to stay in another hotel. We left at 11:00 AM, nobody was at the front desk again. When my daughter got in touch with someone, they told her to just leave the key to her room somewhere. When we returned that evening, again no one at the front desk. We called the hotel number again, as we needed new towels. The gentleman that answered the phone indicated that there was no at the front desk and we would have to wait until 10 AM the next morning for towels. I indicated that our towels were dirty when we checked in, so he attempted to reach the attendant on duty. Nobody answered the phone so he told us to wait until the morning. We went to the lobby trying to find someone who was working, a woman walked in the hotel and she indicated she worked there. We asked for towels, she rudely told us we needed to bring her all the dirty towels from our room first before brining new towels. We have traveled to multiple hotels at different price points and never had to do that.
I was not comfortable knowing that there was nobody at the front desk in the case of emergency, and it was difficult to reach people. When the woman was asked about the room booked that they could not find the night before, she indicated the confirmation would not do her any good and she did not have her in the system. Now we have to find where to dispute the charges for the room that was paid for but not available.

Read moreThe place is okay, the staff however is not. They doubled my rate, without any notification whatsoever. The manager claimed to have put a letter on my door and notified me of the changes, but I never received this. In essence they stole the money from my account on two separate occasions without any warning whatsoever. They will not honor the rate they give you, and they will not give refunds even if you call corporate. The regional manager screamed in my face and told me to visit some other "dirtbag" motel when I asked him why my rates had doubled without my knowledge. I was also placed under a "capstone" special program for pipeline workers when I have never worked on the pipeline.
There are 3 washers currently out of order. There is currently 1 washing machine for the whole floor. The "weekly housekeeping" consists of someone waking you up at 8:50 am to give you sheets and pillowcases. You must put them on yourself. They do not sweep or mop the floors, and pets are barking all hours of the night. It reeks of pot on my end. The trashcan out front is usually packed with beer bottles and trashbags, since there is no garbage removal here. Guests are expected to walk them to the dumpster themselves. Be ready to pay extra money without being told of the change. Once they take your money without you knowing because they have changed the rate, they will refuse the refund stating that they can and will change the rate to whatever they like. The change is understandable, the you not knowing until you've been had is not understandable.
According to the hotel regional manager, he upped the rates without anybody knowing because the motels up the street are charging more. I would not have known about the increase at all had I not asked for a complete itinerary of my stay, which I have posted below. I did not know about the charges until i renewed with zero dollars in my account. I was up 2 weeks beforehand.
Some people are being charged 500 for 2 weeks, some people are being charged 800 for 2 weeks. The rates will skyrocket, and you will not know about it until you're money is all gone. I started off with two weeks, and because of the rate change i was down to 3 days. I had no choice in this, the just took the money from the account without notifying me. Corporate apologizes for the error, but makes no effort to refund. Avoid this place at all costs! They will get you with a rate hike, they will not tell you until you've already paid your account down with the new rate! This means they can technically make the room 300 a day and say you never paid when your initial 2 week rate runs dry.
They are losing business hand over fist, have no amenities or breakfast and want an outrageous amount of money just because the motels up the street are charging that amount. They are pet infested and sleazy with their politics. Beware of the rate hike, it will come if you do not ask for the occupant daily itinerary. As you can see my rate has been the same for a very long time, my room number does not change. As you can see, all of the sudden for a 10 day period unbeknownst to me, i'm actually paying 49.99 a night, double the usual cost per day. Nobody said anything to me, until the money had already been removed from my account, and corporate would not refund me. You can also see in the next picture how there are two days at 35 for some reason, again without my knowledge until it was already gone. (Thats what we wanted instead of a month). 2 days later we got told we owe 400.00,due too the person didn't change us the dog fee and taxes. Now,i showed the print out,and it showes we pd everything. We pd 400.00,on top of.400.00 2 days before. Thats 800.00 in 4 days for a week. Then,3 days later got told we need too pay again. We did,this time 652.00. Thats almost 2 weeks pd for a stay. We thought we were good for 2 weeks. Nope! 2 days later,again more money or were out. They wanted 400.00 again. Thats 952,less then 2 days. When we pd,we got told it was 350. We pd the 350,the next day,got told we owe 200.00. We pd. Now,were thinking were good for the rest of August. Nope. My husband pd them 400 on Wednesday. We were pd up till Saturday. He took oir dog,out Thursday morning. They told my husband we need 500 tonight or were out. He told them how? Were pd till Saturday. Yes,but you still our 500. Not making any sense. I finally called corporate. Talked too the head guy at corporate. He was very nice,and respectful. After he saw my account he did agree that we were pd till Saturday and,he doesn't understand why,they want more and more money. He also was looking at all the payments we were making. He put me on hold. He called and talked with the manager. After he was done talking too her,he went back into my account. He goes what the hell. The manager at the hotel locked my account. He was pissed. He called her right back,and you can tell he wasn't happy with her. He told us,that we were way over charged,and its very shady and sketchy at the one we were at. Then while,im on the phone,my husband told me,that they are going to charge us for the rest of August, all of September and October. How when i didn't give them permission on my card? Again the corporate guy,told he what too do,and get the hell out of there. Well,went too my bank let them know,and if they try anything its a federal crime. And,they should not keep your card on file. The gay at corporate told us get an attorney involved. Well,we got 3! The pros: No one can't get pass the desk without a key.
