Alan Keith Entertainment — Local services in Cranford

I am actually a friend, competitor, and collaborator of Alan Keith Entertainment. I have known him for 25 years. He has built a state of the art entertainment business. Don't believe me, take a look at his website, social media presence, and his glowing reviews. Now, please take note of the negative reviews in the month of Feb. 2019. How is it possible to go from 5 star to these trashy reviews in such a short time? It's not possible.

Let me be as professional as I can. A "would be client" called Alan Keith Entertainment about a possible event, and wanted to know the cost of an added service. All entertainment companies ask pertinent questions about where, when, how many hours, etc., before we are able to give you an accurate estimate. This "would be client" did not like these questions, and had a fit, threaten to ruin him, and proceeded to do so. He has enlisted his "loving family" and "wonderful friends", to smear Alan Keith Entertainment with filthy reviews.

I am particularly offended by the racist remark, because I'm African American. Whether this was a legitimate "would be client" or a "competitor" does not matter. Alan Keith Entertainment "NEVER" did any of these events, for any of these people.

I felt it necessary to write this review, because they are trying to destroy a very successful business that he has taken years to build. He is taking steps to fix these lies, but as you may have guessed, it will take time. In the meantime, read all of the reviews, take a look at his website, and make your own judgement.

Just an added note. As I have stated in another review, none of these "wonderful clients" can produce proof that Alan Keith Entertainment ever worked for them. They can't produce a date, time, venue, and especially a contract, for any of these reviews. Post a shot of a cancelled check, credit card receipt, PayPal notification, or signed contract, that he ever did any of these "fake events". There is a contract involved with everything that he does, (even I have to sign a contract). Man...

Through Alan Keith Entertainment we booked our photography, videography, photo booth and DJ services for our wedding. The convenience of booking several of our biggest vendors at once really helped stream line our wedding planning. It was also really great to have a team who worked so well together.

We met with Alan a few weeks before our wedding to review song choices, music tastes and our time line. While we wish we had been able to prepare a bit more for the meeting, Alan guided us through the process. He really listened to our music tastes and gave us a varied playlist that reflected our personalities and kept our guests happy. We got a lot of compliments on our music!! Alan was able to read the room well and was able to engage our guests throughout the night. Alan’s DJ setup and lighting are state of the art and added to to the elegant atmosphere of our reception. We also rented oversized chairs through AKE for our sweetheart table. They were made a huge visual impact and were super comfortable!

Our photographer was Jose and our videographer was Jonathan. They were very personable and efficient. We were very comfortable with them throughout the day and they clearly have a passion for what they do. They were also sensitive to our unique family situation and had all of the photo shoots running smoothly in spite of the fact our relatives were hard to corral.

The photo booth was state of the art and had a fun red velvet rope to open and close the booth during speeches. The props were great and backdrop was beautiful. It was a huge success at the wedding. Alan had a staff member managing the photo booth and we opted for a book with all of the photos that were taken that night and room for hand written messages from our guests at the end of the wedding. It was a great upgrade.

Alan and his crew were the best decision I made for our wedding dj, photography, and videography. We originally met Alan during a wedding that we attended and got to see first hand how well he was. Alan was present every step of the way with planning everything. We corresponded through email and phone and he was available for every detailed question I had (which I’m sure was a lot!) Even when there were some last minute changes he was very open to it and even spoke with some of my family members who wanted to coordinate with him as a surprise during our reception. He had plenty of helpful ideas for song choices and even had snippets to show us during our meeting. Alan really knew how to feel out our room of guests and really engaged everyone. I was so nervous of not having our dance floor filled with people but that was definitely not the case! My parents and friends complimented our choice with Alan and didn’t want the night to end! We had the indoor sparklers that went off when my husband and I kissed as well as the dancing on the clouds and everyone was so amazed by it, it was so romantic! We also had the photo booth which everyone lined up for and also was a great party favor. Our photographer was Jose and our videographer was Jonathan. Both were awesome! They made us laugh and feel comfortable during our first look and group photos. They went with us to Deep Cut Gardens and took into consideration the spots we definitely wanted pictures in and even asked to pose in a few other spots that they noticed were beautiful as well. My grandfather was also in attendance and Jose made sure to set aside time early on in the night to have my pictures with him.
